I had my surgery a few weeks ago, they also reduced the size of my turbinates and opened the ethmoid sinuses. My post nasal drip got even worse. But the doc says, I should be patient about it, let it cure at least 3-4 months.
There are a few books on sinusitis and its cure you might check before you go for surgery.

You should at least get a CT scan, not a regular X-Ray. Only a CT scan reveils the situation of your sinuses.
Since they didn't find any factors that contribute to my sinusitis such as allergies, polyps etc. I wondered if this old publication might be interesting. I don't understand it, it's medical stuff. Butt they say that capsaicin "red pepper extract" spray can help to cure NANIPER (non allergic, non inflamatory permanent rhinities = chronical nasal mucus)
