MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
LOG June 3, 2019
Update update! I'm thinking that my bb level has decreased. So I went to the dentist today for the supposed to be deep cleaning. I was extra ready with my little note where I wrote my symptoms and the little illustration of where the smelly parts when I'm flossing. But the dentist just did regular cleaning (a lot of debris was removed though).
She's somehow openminded and even asked me some questions how did I know I have halitosis. My ever chattering mind was kind of overwhelmed but the point I got was she was saying like I have bb but not that chronic halitosis kind of level (or maybe my bb level has actually/already been decreased, I do fasting every night at least 12-13 hours (autophagy will start at 16-24 hours, that's when the cells are like removing the toxins), I avoided processed foods also my list of smelly foods at least a week before, I used the baby toothpaste today hahaha and also rinse with baking soda, I didn't use any mint or gum just sipping water maybe every 20 mins, of course I also ate my breakfast (I dont want to be in ketosis) and again, I'm calmer these days compared to when I was still studying when I was having panic attacks and breathing extra heavy scattering the smell all over
basically that's all I did (being calm was the hardest, although my hands are shaking, my breathing was steady, maybe my new perspective about my bb also helped, it was because of the fear of others being disgusted at me or pitying me that made me feel sad and horrible about myself and that's what I have been working on, its those emotions I'm fearing that's making me nervous and worsen the smell)
and in 7 situations today that I was surrounded with people, I only got 1 nose scratching (I'm
not sure if it was me because I was also with my mom who had just tooth extraction and it does smell) again that's 1 reaction in 7 situations... I think it's still there and I'm still getting conscious because of the mucus in my throat, but I want to believe that it has already decreased and I'm quite happy.
The dentist also instructed me to have a panoramic xray to be sure if there's impacted wisdom tooth as there's a hole in the gums beside my lower second molar.
That's it for now. I'm not cured yet, but that's my log entry for today. I'll update again here if I got better results with fasting (about the mucus though, I heard in an audiobook that it may take 1-3 years to be better, it's really harder to tackle).

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
also, even at that time I noticed the female cashier was doing the nose scratch (the only reaction I noticed today in 7 situations) I'm still calm, flashing in my mind the letters DP (for DISGUST and PITY) I reminded myself its just those emotions, Im okay, and those wont kill me, I took my mom's medicines, turned around and made my exit like a normal unbothered person. Really hard to do, but when your bb is like mine that gets extreme when your panicking and breathing heavily, try to teach your mind and body to become unbothered. It will help.

LOG June 5, 2019
I was caught off guard today. It was supposed to be an ordinary day, but damn, I was biten by a cat (I ACCIDENTALLY stepped on it) so I had to visit a clinic again (but then since I was strict with my meal plan last week, I gave myself a "free day" today and ate this smelly junk food first thing in the morning, then ate something smelly again at brunch, I also ate something smelly yesterday) So imagine my horror today that I have to go out hurriedly, with those kind of food stacked up in my intestines and without doing my routine (floss, brush, rinse), but yeah I remember I did use a rinse but it was that mouthwash that will last a few mins and then you know what happens. I was stressed out too since I have to think about this and that and the injections too.
The small size of the clinic didn't help too. As expected, compared to my latest entry, this was the opposite. The first reaction was nose scratch by a girl, the second was someone asking if they have stepped on poop, third was more people doing the nose scratch, fourth was my little cousin telling "it smells like fart" (but in the end, she was just telling the truth and she's the culprit, she did fart)
With all these reactions, I will put a disclosure here that I was with my mom again who had tooth extraction last monday so it still does smell too, so maybe that's 50/50, whether it was her or it was me. But the point is, the reactions are again there. And I know what factor have I changed.
I think that even if I havent done my routine, its still okay. Thats just maybe 30% of the factor (and remember my teeth and gums were just been cleaned last monday). I now think that the larger factor is really what type of food I intake. Its what makes me smell, maybe digestion and also with the mucus trapped in throat.
The next clinic visit for the next round of injections is on Saturday morning. I only have 2 days to eat "clean-ly", but I will do my best and report here again if it does make a difference again.
PS
please reply if there's at least one person reading these log entries (or am I wasting my effort typing here?) I do feel alone in this thread sometimes

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
*I was stressed out but I maintained my calmness even with those words Im hearing and reactions I'm seeing. Imagine how much more unbothered and confident will I be if I'll be given the fate to be totally cured with this.
Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
*and I have to add again, since I'm thinking its not just the gums and mucus anymore, maybe digestion/metabolism defect in genes in my case (I have another family member with the type of bb I have but his somewhat have decreased a bit or maybe I was already immuned with the same smell) history: I remember we were both bb-free in our childhood (but theres this one instance in first grade that my classmate was disgusted cause my breath stinks, other than that, my childhood was okay) his started when he turned like 17-18, mine started when I was 14. I believe we give off the same smell. I remember a relative saying "X have this smell, also Y" (X= the other family member, Y = me), maybe it's in my genes and I'm doomed (just kidding, if that really what it is, I do know I can only manage it through food choices, its hard, way harder than just taking a magil pill and voila I'm cured, I'm afraid this will be a lifelong battle for me (I feel like crying at this very moment typing this, like why should it be me, I always tried my best to be nice and kind even when Im just a kid and look what life I got, why it should happen to people like us, I dont even smoke, drink or did anything risky for my health, and then I have this. I felt like my life turned from 90 to negative 10. I don't even dream to be rich or achieve anything big anymore (like my colleagues are having at the moment), I just want to be a normal healthy person, and I feel like its still too much to ask.

Hi space, yes I do read your log entries. Thanks for documenting your progress
On your next appointment on Saturday, try using a nasal decongestant spray and drinking some type of sugar free carbonated drink like sparkling water or diet coke BEFORE brushing your teeth. You can also try cleaning your tongue and gargling with baking soda/salt mix. See if that helps or makes a difference

What's the reason for doing it before brushing our teeth?StillHoping wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 6:58 pm Hi space, yes I do read your log entries. Thanks for documenting your progress

I think I screwed up my diet and gotten worse recently. I got more reactions and my saliva reeks of typical saliva smell with a hint of sourness, but when I measured the pH, it's pH 7 to 8, more to the alkaline side.
Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
Hello, StillHoping, thank you for reading these entries and also thank you for your suggestions, I will try them soon.
For the appointment on Saturday, I will do the same routine I used in Monday, also the same meal plan (more veg, very small amount of meat, no smelly food, no super processed foods) the only thing I will change to test something is add bread. Although last week, I avoided eating bread especially pastries, I want to note that I was not totally gluten free as I have eaten wheat in noodles and small amounts in some other food. This meal plan on saturday appointment, I included bread, white bread, no cream/frosting, not sugary.
btw, here's the semi-full list in my "food archive", I don't have face-to-face feedback all the time, so the one's in smelly section, I usually base it on the level of smell that I can detect on my own, I just know it's 2x-3x worse when others smell it (but others also stated here that, you should not judge your bb base on the feel of your mouth, reliable feedback is a must)
I'm just putting it here just in case you want to test the food one by one and see if it makes a difference to you (I have already put this in our thread from our country, but it's in mix Filipino-English language we call "Taglish", this one's for everyone who can understand English. I must emphasize that this is from MY PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS only.
It includes 3 categories: SMELLY, MUCUS AGGRAVATING, LBM/CONSTIPATION
I. SMELLY (not in order, but these are the worst offenders)
- beef (hamburger, corned beef, shawarma, beef stew, anything with beef)
- I'm not sure what do you call it there, but here we call it "longganisa", smellyyyyy
- junk foods, if there's "spices" written on the pack, usually they are onion and garlic powder, junk foods make me smell up to early hours the next day
- seasonings (cubes, excessive seasoning, tamarind powder)
- soups that has onion, chives, and garlic when boiling
- citrusy (lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc)
- tomato-onion-meat-cheese combo
- onion-garlic-soy sauce combo
- onion-y, garlick-y, chives-y
- sometimes cheese and eggs
- instant noodles with lots of seasoning
- canned goods like sardines, tuna, mackerel, even sausages and hotdogs
- this is not food, but I will include it here as this makes the smell worse: minty commercial toothpaste or even natural but still minty toothpaste
I wont mention the other local meals here as you might not be familiar with them, but the other smelly vegetables just in case you do plant-based (*plant-based is the term mostly for health related reasons, vegan is more about ethical reasons including avoiding leather and other things) SMELLY IN PLANT-BASED:
- cabbage
- daikon
- broccoli and cauliflower
- soy products
- beans can be smelly too
- some fruits (in my observation):
- banana
- pineapple
- mango
- papaya
- citrus including lemon
- even red apples sometimes
Some other things to consider that I dont consume/do:
- coffee, even some tea (smells like tobacco after)
- alcohol
- smoking
- your type of mouthwash also
- the gum you use to mask your breath
- some medication
- some products you put near the nostrils like vicks
*I don't have a certain LABELLED DIET that I'm following, I don't do keto, not solely plant-based, not paleo, not totally gluten-free, I just follow my own list/observations.
II. MUCUS- AGGRAVATING (*clear mucus, some of these triggers are not food)
- everytime you cry, the mucus in throat gets "thicker" and "dripping"
- sleeping right after a big meal, make the mucus also feels "thicker" right after you wake up
- milk, milk, milk, dairy
- spicyyyyyy
- minty toothpaste sometimes
- vinegar too, and acidic like tomato, note that I get sore throat sometimes in the morning the next day after taking my ascorbic acid supplement
- chocolate, cocoa
- cookies, some bakery goods
- not gluten-free oats (or maybe oats is just mucus forming itself)
- sometimes coconut milk too
III. LBM/CONSTIPATION
LBM:
- milk/dairy
- anything creamy: mayonnaise, icing/frosting, peanut butter, creamy sauce in pasta, too much vinegar
CONSTIPATION:
- beef or overeating lean parts of pork or chicken
- dehydrated
- not eating veggies

That's quite a long list. The plant based contains what I eat often. They are cheap and kept well. I would really like to have reliable feedback before I start another strict diet.

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
I want to write that plant based diet or vegan diet is not healthy. I was an advocate for that also till I watched ex vegan videos on YouTube. You will have other diseases on the lung run. You will be extremely sick and skinny.
I thought if I went vegan I will heal, but it is not so, we need animal protein to be healthy.

Because you will likely burp right after, which could bring up and leave some acid residue. Soo its best to clean your mouth afterwardswinter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:16 amWhat's the reason for doing it before brushing our teeth?StillHoping wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 6:58 pm Hi space, yes I do read your log entries. Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
LOG June 11, 2019
It's what I expected last Saturday, again almost no reactions (even I added bread the day before). I've tried this thrice already, almost no reactions for three trials. The one reaction I notice in June 3, I'm thinking now its because of the paste the dentist had used in my mouth plus the minty mouthwash used in rinsing (which probably has alcohol as it tasted like the commercial mouthwashes that you know will only worsen your smell). Plus we have to walk a certain distance. I notice even in the past when I used those kind of mouthwashes and then walk or when I do heavy breathing while catching my breath, the smell kind of scatters, the mouthwash scatter it more.
So my biggest factors at the moment in managing the smell: 1. the food I eat, 2. the toothpaste/mouth rinse I use, 3. whether my gums still smell
I also clean my nostrils with soft tissue paper (no hardcore rinses). I gently clean my tongue with soft bristled toothbrush. That's my approach, be gentle if you dont want to cause more damage. I make sure I dont get past 3 days without bowel movement. Your elimination should be considered too. Hydration is also very important. I want to note too that, my sweat smells nothing, when I smell the clothes I changed from after a day, no smell detected. My armpits often dont have smell too, even I dont put baking soda as deodorant (I dont use commercial deo/antiperspirants). I included those information for comparison if you have other smelly body parts.
After the removal of possible impacted wisdom teeth, I will try to do this longer and make it more natural to me (particularly the food part) to see if this can "make" me at least normal again, I mean the smell like a normal person. Thank you for reading till here.

Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
Hey guys, no log entries for now, I'll update about my BB situation in August. I just want to post this link here of a video I've seen in youtube. This is for the ones with sinus problems, you might want to try it. I might try it too since maybe there's also a connection with the mucus in throat problem. Here's the link:

LOG May 18, 2019
I have swallowed baking soda water today (the 2nd time, the first one was on May 5). BIG WARNING HERE: as I've already stated in the previous post, drinking baking soda water for long term HAS NEGATIVE EFFECTS.
In the first one, May 5, I was primarily/intentionally gonna test it for reducing mucus smell, but I ended up doing the burp test. Today was the second time. I couldn't tell if it made a difference for the bb smell, but the changing result was the burp. On May 5, I burped (I ate meat that lunch), today I didn't burp (I ate sauteed ampalaya/bitter gourd with egg). I'm not sure if the meat produced more acid that's why I burped in the first test.
My method was not drinking a glass of it. As I'm always rushing, I put about 1/4 TEASPOON NOT TABLESPOON (with the right measuring tool) baking soda in my mouth (it doesn't taste good okay) then I pour enough water in my mouth, swish it a bit with the baking soda then swallow it. AGAIN, overdosing and taking baking soda water for longer amount of time WILL DAMAGE YOUR BODY. Please always research the tests you want to try.
the poster, hitler, on this site, also had success with baking soda. he had mixed it with coconut oil, which is an anti-fungal and has anti-microbial properties, and was using it to brush his teeth and then swallowing the coconut oil/baking soda mixture that he used to brush his teeth with afterwards......he had said that he noticed results rather immediately and was using four parts coconut oil to one part baking soda for the toothpaste/mouth rinse. i have been using coconut oil capsules myself the past few days that i picked up in the clearance bin at my grocery store and am noticing a reduction of the fecal smell already. coconut oil, is also a laxative of sorts and is used in treating candida and yeast problems.
Re: MAIN FACTOR FOR EXTREME BB?(FECAL)
Hello, instead of ingesting the baking soda solution, at present, I only use it as a mouth rinse after using non-mint (toddler toothpaste) thats along with carefully choosing what I eat and also flossing and gentle tongue cleaning, almost no reactions when I do that, the choice of food to consume (refer to my long list above) is the hardest part to maintain but the biggest variable for me (food, also affecting what the mucus in my throat will smell like, and also whether it aggravates it, the more mucus produce the more possibility of tonsil stones forming which is like a domino effect and the bb cycle goes on) fecal bb can be related to having gum disease, tonsil stones, sulfur compounds metabolism defect, bowel obstruction, throat-esophagus-stomach issues, also maybe sinus
