Iva,
you are right there is an obvious connection. Doctors dont want to admit it.
I see my new GP this wednesday. But I dont know how to bring this up?
Any ideas?

BAD SMELL FROM NOSE??? ANY OF YOU HAVE IT
Hi iva,
I saw my doctor yesterday and he gave me a stool pot to put some sample in and return it today. I just got back now. I returned it this morning to my doctor's office - just walking distance from where I live. Thank God its only 8 minutes walk to my Doctor's office because I could not manage to take stool sample on the bus or train. That would be too awkward.
So, I hope to hear some news like next week about the test. I doubt it will show anything really but worth a try.
If that doesnt work then my next bet will have to be wisdom teeth. Who knows???????????????????????
Just to add my new doctor wasnt convinced it was h. pylori. He was like why havent you sought help for this so long ago???????? But he agreed to the test and full stool culture. HIGHLY DOUBT ANYTHING WILL SHOW UP>

Hey Drastic, good luck with this - and please dont forget that no one knows for sure why some people with chronic halitosis who took the h.pylori antibiotic treatment were reportedly cured of their BB. Maybe for some its squarely down to the infection with HP and the far-reaching effects this infection can have to possibly causing BB for some. We've also seen in the case study where the person clearly had not eradicted HP with her treatment, yet was permanently cured of her halitosis, indicating that the medication therapy itself could have been responsible in some way.
Also there are many reports of people being permanently cured of BB by a course of metronidazole alone, which, without the use of acid suppression is incapable of eradicating HP within the stomach by itself - indicating that something else causing the BB was dealt with instead, by the metronidazole.

Thanks Halitosisux,
I so get what you are saying. You are right about it all.
My next worry is if I get a false negative. I am really concerned about this because if the test come back negative then there is no way of getting a batch of metrondazole to take from my new doctor.
I will simply have to wait until it gets to next week then I will know for sure.

Drastic,
Even if you test negative for HP you can still ask for metro from your GP. When I asked for it, I specifically said I wanted to try it to see if it would get rid of my bb. I only mentioned the treatment for HP as a possible reason for my bb, but I also said that even if I don't have HP I thought metro may help by killing the anearobic bacteria in my mouth. The HP diagnosis was really just a side to trying the metro for my bb, and as I've said before, my GP didn't even suggest testing me for HP.
Your doctor should really be more open to your suggestions to your own treatment, hopefully your new GP will be a bit more understanding.
