A few days ago I promised to give a report. Here it is - and it's not good news:
Suspecting that I might have Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBA), I decided to take several items on a daily basis. Two colon cleansing pills, Colotox and Acai Daily Cleanse as well a a tablespoon of coconut oil with a couple of drops of oil of oregano added. The oils are supposed to have antibacterial properties. The oil of oregano tastes horrible. After a few days of this, I began to get abdominal pains. I don't know if the pain came from the small intestine or the colon, but it got worse for several days and kept me awake at night. If I do have excessive bacteria in the intestines, then they decided to fight back and I was forced to retreat. The bacteria are winning. I stopped taking all of that stuff and I am slowly getting back to normal. I do not have the intention to continue with the items mentioned. I am still taking probiotics (Probiotic Advantage from Mountain Home Nutritionals). These are tiny pearls that I have been taking for about three years. I have found them to be beneficial and they have never caused any harm. I believe they are safe.
For the time being, I will leave my digestive tract alone and just concentrate on the oral environment. As previously reported, after normal tooth brushing I scrape my tongue, brush the tongue with an antibacterial toothpaste and then use an antibacterial rinse. This cuts down on my breath odor about 80% and gets me through the day. As far as eliminating the underlying cause of my bad breath is concerned, I still don't have the answer.

Hopelessone,
Toothpaste: TheraBreath Plus with OXYD-8
Rinse: TheraBreath Plus Oral Rinse with OXYD-8
Those "little pearls" are called Probiotic Advantage from Mountain Home Nutritionals (drdavidwilliams.com).
These little pills are coated so that they will go through the stomach into the intestines and not be killed by stomach acid. They are simply good bacteria that you should have in the intestines. They do not have the capability to kill bad bacteria. For that you would most likely need an antibiotic such as Xifaxan 550mg (Rifaximin). I started taking them because I had a lot of problems in my digestive tract: cramps, watery stools, excessive gas, bloating. They have helped me in that regard, but they will not get rid of bad breath.
As far as Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth is concerned, I don't know if I really have it. I only suspected it.

Day 17:
At lunch: Green beans, potato, vinegar, oil olive.
At afternoon: Tomato juice, some donut (not the american one, some simpler).
At night: McDonald's again! Same meal.
sensations: not less heavy, not more. I have much less mucus, I think I passed a weird phase. At least I know what to work on.
Day 18:
At lunch: Chicken. green pepper.
At night: Carbonara pasta. Just one egg, some light cream.
Sensations: Waking up, I had the burning feeling, I slept without an extra pillow...
Day 19:
At lunch: Some rice, with some french beans (long one). Some tomato recipe.
At afternoon: A croissant.
At night: Chicken with bread, cheese, salad. Some weak cheese (not a potent thing, an industrial one).
Sensations: I went to the toilets. It was between diarrhea and normal feces.
In two days, I'm making some analysis of my post, some correcting. I don't cough anymore (very rarely, when I go out, I don't have the last days phenomenon; the need to sniff, blow my nose. I have to reconsider some options, I heard about silent reflux.

Thanks. I'll try the TheraBreath toothpaste and rinse. I did some research on line and not so keen on the efficacy of da li'l pearls. Master Supplements seem to be effective, from what i read online.Phantasist wrote:Hopelessone,
