21-year-old male in SoCal suffering from chronic BB

Post by Eric »

Hi everybody, I would just like to introduce myself. I'm Eric. I'm 21 and live in Riverside County, California. I've been suffering with chronic BB for maybe the past three months or slightly longer. I know that doesn't seem long to many of you, but please understand that when I say chronic I mean 24/7 BB! I work at Best Buy and its basically torture. People used to come up to me and ask questions or my opinion (I work in the CD/DVD/game area), now I'm lucky if they approach within ten feet. My co-workers used to talk about it behind my back, but now it seems like they kind of accept it, though they don't usually talk to me a hell of a lot. I've got some really supportive friends that tell me I don't have BB, but I know I do when all I see all day is people putting their hands to their faces when I'm near. Its really starting to take a toll on my social life. I'm depressed and tired all the time, I prefer sleeping to attending my college classes or trying to go to bars. (alcohol makes my breath horrid) I'm afraid this is never going to go away. If thats so I'm going to mold my life around a career where I can work by myself (writing, etc...) My oral hygiene is good, the dentist gave me a clean bill of health just a couple of weeks ago. Though during my cleaning it looked like she was gonna die. I think my BB originates in my G.I. tract, possibly stomach, and possibly as a result of lactose-containing foods. I'm here for support and to try and gain some knowlesge in fighting this!

U came to right place...some of us have been suffering for a very long time but still don't know "The cure". Some people have claimed they were able to have some degree of control and some have claimed that it was cured all together, by getting their tonsils out etc...My advice to you is to take some time and read the posts, a lot of topics have been covered. And since everyone doesn't have the same source to their problem, you have to figure out whose problem yours is similar to and then maybe you can proceed with some remedies.

Good Luck!!

Thanks man, yeah I've been scanning the boards all night and taking all kinds of notes on things I want to try. It's really comforting knowing I'm not in this alone and there may someday be a 'cure'.

dang..

After reading your other posts, I was coming to the conclusion that you were someone I knew.

Same name, same age, similar attitude.

But if you really live in california, I guess I was wrong.

Oh well, welcome just the same!

I wish that instead of 0.01% or less of the population being affected it was something a little more like 1%. Then we would have no prob meeting others like us. So where you from Mike?

P.S. I'm digging that Spongebreath avatar, need to find something like that for myself.

ohio

Oh yeh, and the "stupid dysfunctional family" comment was a dead ringer for the guy I know :p

It's just, his breath sometimes stinks really bad, but I also know he smokes, drinks, does not exercise, and generally leads a crappy lifestyle. He also isn't concerned with brushing his teeth as he's revealed when staying at my house over night in the past..

Sometimes, though, I think maybe it's not his breath that smells bad, but it's mine that I'm smelling when I'm around him. But, I only smell this distinct smell when I'm with him and he's talking to me... Or maybe he's the only person who speaks directly to me like that so that's how I smell it. Or a strange combination of smells as others have discusssed before... ugh.. the world of BB is so confusing.

So yeh, I want that ****ing maple syrup disease. Yum yum.

yeah for sure. maple syrup disease would prob just have people giving you confused, funny looks as opposed to evil ones... Though they did mention that if left untreated it starts to like eat away at your brain...yikes! Man, this sucks so much. Later today I'm going to go pick up some Lactaid, Tung Brush, a nasal irrigation kit, and some Zantac. Trying to treat this is rather expensive #-o
