just an observation i've made among my friends when i go out to a club/bar:
we all know that alcohol can make people's breath smell. well when ever a guy comes up to me and my friends and starts talking to us close up, a lot of times he'll have strong breath from the alcohol. i don't consider that bad breath because it's nothing like what i've dealt with personally. however my friends will complain about it like it's the worst breath ever.
knowing that my friends are real friends and they aren't using this as an opportunity to indirectly send me a signal, i realized that people with fresh breath think that any smell on the breath is atrocious. to add to the story, my best friend who manages her breath situation quite well tells me the same thing about my breath- it has a smell but it's not real bad breath. (she told me this before my mouth turned into a dead fish repository which i've since managed with probiotics.)
moral of the story: some of the reactions we get may be to us having a scent on our breath rather than a halitosis smell. so it probably isn't good to weight the success of our breath regimines on people's reactions. stay strong everyone. stay strong.
