Ranitidine works for me

I have been suffering from BB for quite some time now. The doctor has prescribed a few high end acid blockers but none has worked. I was recommended to take Ranitidine and it works for me. 10 minutes after I took it, my mouth feels fresh and my saliva actually tastes much better. I talked to someone and they didn't back away from me.

Ithurts,

Did you have any symptoms of over production of acid before your doctor tried you on the acid blockers or before you tried the Ranatidine? My doctor also gave me acid blockers (even though I've no symtoms of too much acid), I been on them for 2 weeks but they haven't helped at all.

I'm wondering if it's worth trying the Ranatidine even though the acid blockers didn't do anything. :-k

Yes.. my doctor prescribed me some acid blockers but it didn't work. I took Zantac and it works.
I have some symptoms of over production of acid.
You don't need prescription to buy Zantac.

Zantac is in a class of medications called H2 blockers. It has Ranitidine.

Another poster said not enough stomach acid was the cause for them. I suppose each case is different. There's no single cause or cure for bb.

In my case, no mouthwash seems to help for long. Coffee definitely makes it worse. So maybe too much acid is my problem. I rarely get heartburn or acid reflux so I didn't suspect it. I googled "zantac bad breath" and found some reports of it working for some people. It might be worth a try if only to rule it out if it doesn't work.
