thera breath toothpaste is
Well today, Friday, I did a stage 2 nasal rinse in the bathtub and it did a mess but my nose felt cleaner, left nostril was more stuffed. I then brushed teeth and tongue with thera breath toothpaste to see how well it works and I was off to my appt. with my kidney doctor. I felt good actually sort of confident! What a disappointment! My poor doc. kept scratching his nose a lot more than before even when I was not facing him. Well it is official the thera breath toothpaste is worst than not using paste to brush teeth. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I did mention my doc that I think I need work done on my teeth and he agreed, he always checks my mouth for signs of dehydration. He also said that avoiding too much protein and pushing the liquids can help bring down the BUN levels (toxins)

Hah, that stuff makes my tongue whiter than any other paste I've ever tried. The taste is horrid and the mouthwash is salty. I'm glad to be rid of it.
As for the nose scratching, my mother has this habit. It drives me INSANE because sometimes she just blatantly will stick her finger under her nose when I talk to her. Then I tell her I'm going to a million doctors for my BB and she goes "who the hell says you have bad breath? You don't have bad breath, you're making a big deal out of nothing."
So yeah, sometimes when I see her do it I just want to drop kick her upside the head. My friends are all great about it, no nose rubs at all. Not even my sister, although she's probably used to it having to live with me her whole life. I think they've just come to accept it and treat me like a normal person, which is great...because i know I'll have those friends for life. Other people can be so rude about it though.

I'm trying to understand this. So you wake up and you KNOW your breath smells like death,. You speak to someone and they constantly keep touching, scratching their nose uncomfortably. Ignore all the other reactions for now. This doesn't indicate a possible reaction to your breath? Do you suddenly feel your breath isn't so bad, even though you knew it stunk when you woke up? No possible connection between the nose rubbing and you talking? We know it's not a 100% correlation, but is it more likely than not that the person is bothered by the smell? If your breath isn't that bad everyday, then yes I can see how nose rubbing could be misleading, but you have BB every single day of your life. Even with NO reactions, you can still assume your breath stinks.Larc400 wrote:For the 1000th time: scratching nose is not an indicator of you having bad breath.
Examples of things that *are* indicators:
"Wow, something stinks of shit here."
or a violent thrust of the head with a disgusted look.
In my experience, most people don't say things like "Wow, something stinks of shit here." unless they simply don't have any respect for you. Random individuals, in my experience don't just say things like that out loud. People that know me certainly don't say that to me in my face, unless they want to get knocked out. In most cases, for me people go out of their way to hide their discomfort. Rubbing the nose is the most subtle way of reacting to this discomfort without being obvious. Rubbing the nose is a reaction to discomfort in many ways other than BB, yes. But when you have 100% BB, can you not make a deduction, that YOU yourself are the discomfort in most cases. Especially when you KNOW your breath stinks. Also, not everyone is going to have a violent reaction. Some people are quick thinkers, and they can get past the shock. They instantly try to play it off. In that case, the nose rubbing is the give-away that does indicate that your breath is being smelled.
Bottom line. ANY reaction you get, there is an above 50% chance that it IS because of your bad breath... why would it be any otherwise? Why would you presume that the person did NOT smell your breath when you KNOW that it stinks? I am baffled by that one. Seems like a small form of denial.
