So there seem to be quite a few of us who suffer from "extreme fatigue", especially after meals. And I really mean *extreme* = like it's hard to keep eyes open etc, and not just the normal "after food tiredness" that most people get.
So, who else suffers from this? Please detail your "extreme fatigue syndrome" here...
Could it be that the bacterial activity in the mouth after a meal produce bi-products that spread in the blood stream to cause this??
i, too, suffer from this. altho' it varies. and i don't know what the pattern is - yet. sometimes my breath is actually BETTER after i eat, and i don't get dry mouth or fatigue. at others i'd get that weird almost drugged-up feeling of fatigue, usually accompanied by VERY dry mouth (sticky saliva) and bad breath.
i have no idea what causes this. only that to me this quite obviously links my bad breath to my digestion. i'm trying to decide maybe what type of food i eat that makes the difference, but have only narrowed it down to chicken making my breath smell worse.
soup and broth also tends to make it worse -along with the fatigue.

really sorry for the multiple posts people. but i just remembered something -
my extreme fatigue has been helped a lot by my diet - and stress level. i don't know if anybody believes in any form of meditation/visualization. but that has helped me manage my stress level better and thus has helped the fatigue.
sometimes just visualizing alone helps my mouth water. it definitely has an effect on dry mouth for sure.
also, not eating meat seems to have helped. not eating too much as well. i used to ALWAYS overeat because i do love food very much. and i did eat for emotional comfort. i also ate really fast. i've changed a lot of that. i try to chew a lot more, and to really only eat enough for hunger. soetimes i start with a glass of juice before a meal or maybe a small yogurt. so i don't tend to gorge myself crazy on the main meal.
i used to have a very very poor diet. fast food all the time, lots and lots of meat. constantly ate out. the greasier the heavier, the better i liked it.
i started to slowly change my diet in the last two years or so. started to cook more, eating better. but it has changed even more drastically within the last few months. it has taken all this time for me to really feel a change in how i feel. maybe it will contribute to my bb being better. or not. i don't know. but the fatigue is muuch better most of the time. (not always, it comes and goes. but the point is it does go sometimes!)
tonight i semi-deliberately ate something that i hadn't touched in a long time. i ate some ramen noodles from a pack and also seasoned beans and rice from a pack as well. i wasn't trying to eat fast or overeat but i did, and only realized it afterwards. i've gotten used to the taste of fresh vegetables and well-prepared food and so when i first tasted it, i was surprised to see that i didn't like it. (I used to like this kind of stuff.) i even threw part of it out and made another kind of ramen (flavor) that's spicy. that's a bit better because the spiciness made it more tasty. but still...
i think i was eating fast because there's simply no flavor in the food! natural flavor, i mean. so i started gorging myself and overate too. again, it was not my intention. my original intention was only to see how my digestive system and maybe breath would be like after eating this stuff.
anyway, i can't tell with the breath yet, but now i have heartburn and some fatigue. still not as bad as the worst kind, but worse than usual, i think.
i wanted to throw this out there for all of you who still eat processed food like this. i do believe it is somewhat breath-related, at least in my case. and definitely very health and digestion related.
