Questions about "Finkelstein's tonsil smelling test

Dear Members and especially Professor Yehuda Finkelstein,
I decided to make the Finkelstein's tonsil smelling test described in the interview, because I think the origin of bad breath is in my tonsils. Yesterday I bought some medical gloves and in the evening, after I brushed my teeth, I tried to do it. But I had difficulties and failed. Today I tried to do the test again but I couldn't.
I didn't know how to "massage" it, where to "massage" it, where to touch it and additionally, the gag reflex was a big problem and forced me to stop.
So, Mr. Finkelstein and members who managed to do the test, can you please describe an acurate methodology for the test? Should the test be done by a doctor, or the pacients can do it succesfully too?
Thanks in advance.
