Suffered from bb since age 12. Tongue is mildly white coated. Have a crevis down the center of my tongue. This crevis is very white. Subseptible to dry mouth. Saliva in mouth gets sour/metal/sulfer taste to it after not brushing for a few hours. I can scrape tongue, brush tongue like crazy, use hydrogen peroxide. BB comes back after an hour or two.
Attacking my tongue doesn't solve the problem. Could it be the crevis or fibers on my tongue trapping bacteria. Or can the problem be coming from somewhere else. I'm thinking PND. I have my tonsils but wisdom teeth taken out.

John, have you seen a doctor or dentist about your problem?
I'm asking this because for someone who has had BB for decades and doesnt know what is meant by an overgrowth or a candida infection, it makes me wonder whether you might be one of these people just waiting for the sun to shine, looking for the easy way out hoping for that simple miracle product or answer to just come along, and yet all along might have some obvious situation behind it all. Try to stop obsessing with your tongue, you even admitted it yourself that attacking it is pointless. Even though your tongue seems to be the source of your bad breath, its really only likely to be the symptom of something else going on, like your sinuses or some dental issue, or some upper gastric problem - all fairly straightforward to diagnose. Even the dryness you sense or things like PND, might just be a symptom of the shiteness inside your mouth and throat giving you that impression. There are also certain systemic causes, but you need to rule out the obvious things first before you go down that road, and I dont get the impression you are quite at that stage yet.
Try to think of your tongue as a carpet sitting in your hallway - you can scrub it all you like, but if you dont identify the person who keeps stepping in dog shit and walking through your hall and infesting it, you'll forever be going round in circles.
BB has the grip it has on us because from the moment we realize we have this problem it totally screws up the logic in our heads and we no longer make rational thoughts or decisions - this is the rut we all fall into. Finding out you have BB is like taking a blow to the head with a sledgehammer and surviving it and learning to live with the injuries, but never actually realizing what happened.
If the crevice of your tongue is really deep, as it can be for some people, it can create enough of an anaerobic area to give you bad breath (or certainly to exacerbate it) but your doctor will have advised you on this.
