Hello, I'm new to this site but not the PROBLEM. I've done some research and visits with naturopathic, holistic doctors and from their point of view it's all about food. That when you clean up the entire digestive tract ( which would mean the complete elimination of flour, sugar, bad oils , meat and dairy and alcohol) your bacteria balance will straiten itself out. I can't seem to stick to that diet. Has anyone out their investigated this theory? Can anyone eat this way in this age? Has anyone researched and/or found any help in the area of Candida? I'd like to know all you know. Thank you. I am so so down. I need a friend. I want to die.

so down, please don't despair. i can fully relate to your depression - have been battling bad breath for years.
don't overwhelm yourself with such a huge project of altering your diet 100%. like everything else, set goals that you can do, instead of impossible ones. it is hard for us to not evolve our lives around bb, but try to think about your health instead. do you have other health concerns? maybe post on here to list all your other health issues. a lot of us have other related ones related to our breath problem as well. sometimes that gives us a clue as to what's going on in our body. it is very possible that bb is a symptom of un-wellness in the body. have some compassion for yourself. instead of looking at yourself with disgust/loathing, know that the breath is a sign that your body is telling you that something needs to be taken care of. seperate yourself from your body to a certain extent. it IS your body but at the same time, have some detachment, knowing that you are resposible to take care of it. the odor doesn't make you a lesser person. it's a bodily problem.
do you have other digestive issues? sinus problems? dry mouth? anything that you have a gut feeling which has something to do with bb. explore it. don't get too tunnel-visioned about curing "bad breath". get well. live well.
if you need to vent, stay open and write on the forum. it helps to know that you are not alone and to have discussions. read up on others' experience. see what might help you. don't overwhlem yourself.
my breath has gotten worse over the years - BUT at the same time as i improved my health and administered lifestyle changes, it has also become more manageable. get informed, stay curious - even with this dreaded condition. i have battled depression and anxiety for years, since before onset of bb. but the bb made it much worse. i have my anxious moments, (sometimes very), and certainly some very depressing and lonely moments - all because of bad breath. however, i no longer am depressed in a clinical sense. life IS worth living and beautiful even with this condition. esp. once you've learned how to manage it according to your lifestyle.
keep talking. don't despair.
