So after, having my tonsils out, removing an impacted wisdom tooth and having an extensive deep clean at the dentist, I am now ready to consider going to a specialist as my bad breath is still there.
What I want to know is what these specialist can do that dentists and doctors are reluctant to do.
What are people's experiences with fresh breath clinics etc? Are they a waste of money. The last thing I want to do is pay lots of money only to be told that I should brush more often and thoroughly. Has anyone been completely treated following attending?
Any recommendations for such clinics in and around London?

Has any one been to specialist clinics about halitosis

It really all depends on the clinic that you go to. I would imagine some are worth the money while others are just marketing ploys to get patients to spend more money. I would just say if you find one, make sure you do some research on the internet to see if you can get any customer feedback stories from previous patients that they treated.
Good luck!
Good luck!
After the first 5 months encountering bb, I beleived the only solution, after trying profresh products, was to visit a specialist. Ive been to the Richter center in philly, usa and honestly, this website has been way more beneficial with my quest to finding a cure even though i havent found any yet. Ive gained way more oral knowledge on this forum in 3wks then i have in the past yr nd a half going back at forth at different dentist, clinics and doctors. And heres the best part of this website it cost $free.99. Thats not bad at all considering the thousands of dollars ive spent on products, clinics and dentist visits.
When I went to the R.C in philly, I was so excited on the outcome this visit would have. I knew I had bad breath, so if a dentist couldnt help me of course a specialist could. Why? because thats what they do, they specialize and focus on curing their respective feilds. Plain and simple. I spent two days over there doing a bunch of different xrays and testings to where my problem was coming from. Or atleast they made me believe they were testing me. They even made me beleive I didnt have bad breath to begin with. They claimed they couldnt smell anything that I had to worry about, that my breath smell normally funky when it did. Obviously that was bullsh*t, because I didnt always have bb and I know the difference.
But anyway, I paid $950 for the thought that I was bb free. I walked out of that clinic beleiving I had my life back and bb free. I came home to friends and family with that same attitude and I was talking in people's faces, not chewing gum anymore and doing things that people did when they didn't worry about their breath. Now that I look back on my false sense of being cured, I really embarrased myself. Am I doing those same things one year later from my visit? Hell no. Far from it.
Hopefully all clinics arent full of sh*t like the R.C, as KT mentioned, but I don't beleve any of them can do anything different as far as curing bad breath. $950 is alot of money for me, it values even more now because I wasnt cured. Instead I was robbed and thier machines and tools were their weapon.
I suggest you save your money, save your time and stay on this forum or just do a bunch of research on your own and try to eliminate things.I believe Dentist and specialist can't cure us because they don't have bb, and as jimi said we are a minority, and they dont care to help us because our problem arent life threatning, only if they knew, like cancer and all those other things are. If you do end up going I hope it works out for you. Good luck

Nothing, just save your money and become your own specialist by researching and hopefully finding out for yourself what your cause is.bbuk wrote:What I want to know is what these specialist can do that dentists and doctors are reluctant to do.
