Endoscopy: How to get your doctor to do it?

Post by GoodLuck! »

Light in the end of the tunnel!

I`ve had the pleasure of following keeptryings posting which in turn led me to try out some some sort of a diet with good results so far.

What i`ve done is to eliminate all yeast products, reduce diarys (except lactose free milk.. milk is good for teeths you know :) ) and no red meat and pork. Apart from that i`Ve been eating lots of natural yoghourt, frouts and vegetables(thai food is great!).

I`ve also been working out (hard cardio stuff)

Anyway, my mouht feels great. My PND is reduced significantly. I don`t really trust that smell your finger after touching your throat thing, but anyway.. it smells way less than it did before..

This have encouraged me to take on more of his advice.

Im skeptical to medicals in general and don`t really want to take any anti-fungal or anti-biotics without the consent of my doctor.¨

Thus i want to do tests before proceeding, the first one being endoscopy of my esophagus.

So here is my problem. I`m in Norway and in Norway you get a doctor and your more or less stuck to him. In my case it is a her and im very sure she won`t allow me this test based on candida and/or bad breath reasoning in general.

Thus i need another reason for them to do an endoscopy of my esophagus. What can i tell her to convince her?

I could not convince any of the 3 doctors i saw in the last year to do an endoscopy, i was not even close to convincing one, it was straight up no's. Fly to Thailand if you want one.

That is a shame. Thought doctors were supposed to do everything in their power to help people..

Might fly to Thailand though, heard it`s nice down there.

Hey GoodLuck,

Good luck with your doctor. I really hope you are able to convince her to do an endoscopy on you.

Yeah, if you ever feel like coming to Thailand, feel free to contact me. I don't mind showing you around. I can even take you to the hospital where I had my endoscopy done. Same goes for anyone looking to fly here. :D

Anyone hoping to be referred for an endoscopy, try to pretend you have symptoms of a stomach ulcer - excruciating stomach pain and heartburn etc. Who cares if they find no signs of this after, at least they'll be looking harder to find any cause for the pains. I can rememeber when I had my endoscopy, I was actually suffering from real ulcer symptoms at the time, and I can clearly remember how thoroughly they were discussing each stage, from my esophagus, right down into my duodenum.
