I got a prescription for medrol.... Its suppose to boost the immune system, steroid medicine increasing hormones. .. lets see what happens

Did you start taking this solely to try and eliminate your bb? Or are you using this medication for other reasons and just hoping it might work for bad breath as well?

no i got a prescription from my ent....he said i have redness in my throat so he gave it to me....ive been to many ent's and they all gave me antibiotics for bacteria.... this medicine is suppose to supply more hormones to my body or whatever....i dont know im so confused..

I'd never heard of medrol, but having done a quick search I just found out its very similar to prednisolone. I have a relative who is on this for unrelated reasons and I've got some good first hand experience of what prednisolone does. This is not the same as prednisone, which I understand triggers the body into producing more of its own prednisolone.

Prednisilone is a steroid and acts as an immunosuppressant and anti-inflammatory. It will increase your appetite and you'll put on weight very quickly, in all sorts of weird places. A very common side effect is manic depression, you swing from being very elated to being aggressive and as if you are possessed. Be real careful. I cant imagine what this could do for BB. If you have any nasal problems, like PND coming from your nose, high doses of prednisolone will wipe those out almost overnight. I cant imagine you doctor giving you any more than 5mg, unless its for some serious health problem, so these side effects will be minimal. My relative was on 40mg for nearly 2 months so that might explain things. Now currently on 5mg for life.
