Diet & Post Nasal Drip

Why does specific food trigger post nasal drip? Of course there are several causes of PND. So this might depend on the cause.

Anyway: I noticed that especially the following food triggers my PND:
> Chinese food
> Coke
> Coffee
> Garlic

All this stuff makes the PND really sticky and the taste sour. For what reason?
