It is coming from the same place it came from before, the back of your tongue. 80% to 90% of all bad breath is due to an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria in the mouth. If the microfloral ecology of the mouth is such that it promotes the bad bacteria and diminishes the good bacteria, the bad bacteria will take over producing an incorrect bacterial balance. An antibacterial substance may temporarily reduce the anaerobic bacteria, thereby reducing the odor, but as soon as the antibacterial medicine is discontinued, the oral ecology will re-establish the wrong bacterial balance in the mouth and thereby bring back the odor on your breath.
The hand we are dealt is fate. How we play the cards is free will.
