Hi everyone...

Im a 46 years old female who's been suffering from bb for over 3 decades now. I don't have any thing uniqe to say about my bb, after reading almost all the posts here, I felt like I was reading my own life story and I dont feel alone any more.

My family and I came to the States from South East Asia in 1979 and we didnt know any english then. Shortly after that, I remember like it was yesterday, the day when my life was over before it started.

I was just a normal 14 years old little girl who never had to worry about my breath, then one day out of the blue, it just happened...I felt something lodged in my throat, I looked in the mirror and I saw this little white stuff stuck in my tonsil and I didn't know what the hack it was(this was back in 1979) ever since then I've had bb 24/7 from then until now..

I was young, confused, and scared, and couldn't confine in anybody, not even my family because I was so embarrassed and believe me, I have thought of killing myself many many times but couldn't go through with it. To make long story short...as I got older and wiser and learned to speak better english, I have been to countless dentists, ENT amd many doctors and they were all useless.(sounds familiar?)

I was able to to get tonsillectomy 10 years ago thingking it would take care of my bb once since for all but that was a big dispointment. I also had all of my wisdom teeth extracted

I'm pretty sure that my bb is from my mouth, tongue area cause my tongue is always coated and I don't have pnd.

Im just hoping and waiting for that miracal cure after all these years of isolation, outcast and only emagine how my life could have turned out if I didnt have this dreadful bb

Hi, does your tongue smell bad too?
That may seem like a stupid question, but not everyone with BB has a bad smelling tongue and whether it smells or not is important as it can help you rule out certain causes, which is what solving your problem is all about.

Removing my tonsils was the fist thing i ever did to get rid of BB back in 2000. Is it possible that those tonsils gave us a bacterial overgrowth?

more likely that you had a bacterial overgrowth in the rest of your mouth which made your tonsils smell, which was still there after you had your tonsils out - which is why tonsillectomy rarely cures anyone.

holitosisux,

Yes, my tongue smells even right after I brushed, gargled and scraped. I could never get the coating off completely, its alway lightly coated, or on my bad days, it gets really coated. I know my tongue is the main source of my bb (after 30 years of trail and error). I don't smell from my nose, I go to the dentist every six months and I brush, floss at least twice a day and have really healthy teeth and gum.

bellie,

I know that my bb started with tonsil stones which I didnt know what they were at the time, I always wondered if I had them taken out right at the time instead of twenty years later, would it had made a difference.

realbad,

Yes, I would like more info about this products/kit. So, what you're saying is that if my bb is comming from my mouth then this should help or cure it?

I thought if I have an overgrowth in my mouth that's what it sounds like based on what I've read on this forum (which I just discovered not too long ago) then there is not much I can do about at this point.

docters say, that BB from the stomach is very very rare.
but i have reflux all the time for over 20 years now. could a hiatal hernia give me a bad BB? there are millions of
people with reflux in the US. and also a lot where ik live And they all have BB?? i don't think so. i will make an apointment next week with a gastro entroloog, i wil keep you updated.

and to john..you know you rite thats what most doctors say... but lemme tell you this...i seen many doctors dentist... doctors say check with a dentist no problem with stomach...and the dentist will tell you check with a doctor it is a medical problem...you see how things work.. both dont wanna waste their time on our problem so they start leading us to the wrong direction because of their lack of knowlege or just dont really care about how we are feeling..

Have you tried 3% hydrogen peroxide. Dilute it in as much water and use it as mouthwash. Also try brushing your teeth with salt/baking soda/hydrogen peroxide. It works and will only cost you a couple of bucks.

You can also try zinc gluconate. According to Aydinmur, it is very effective in neutralizing volatile sulfur compounds in the mouth and relieves you for hours from bad breath.

Try this link for Zinc.

bbforever...from what i learned from this doctor was that if you mouth is too dry the bacteria will thrive on the gums and tongue...so the mouthpiece i would have to put gel tube on it..stick it inmymouth for overnight...the gel will go inside the gums killing the bacteria...but anyways...it didnt work ffor me..oh well...it only kill badbreath in the mouth. i know this for sure because he put me on the halimeter and it was like 200 before..after i used it it was like 30...so it improved only on the mouth..

I had bad breath for over 30 years also. I have tried every product and procedure known to man. Just recently I spent 1K on the perioprotect system; didn’t work. I tried something new on Tuesday and the results have been very good so far. Squeeze a couple of lime and pour into a small bottle. After brushing and flossing, tip your head back and pour a small amount of lime juice onto the back of your throat and gargle without touching your teeth. I say this because the lime juice will make your teeth really sensitive. My problem has always been bad breath due to post nasal drip. My tongue was always white and yellow. I do this every two hours and on the 3rd day my tongue has been pink/red and I don’t feel uncomfortable around people.
