Hi all,
I am a 18 year old male. Tonsils not removed, nor ever had any teeth removed.
I have had bb from my early childhood, which was cured once I started puberty believe it or not.
At the age of 16, I had bad acne, and for this I was put on a 10 month course of ACCUTANE, now for you all out there, this is a hard drug which basically stops your body producing oil through the glands. This drug was very bad to my body and I think it has contributed to my bb returning.
NOW, the current situation stands like this. My tongue has a thick and I mean thick coating on it, this coating is white/yellow which initially I thought was oral thrush (candida). I went to my doctor who did a swab test which came back negative. I have tried all remedies for my tongue but it will not go away, even if it goes it will come back. I have used salt/baking powder/brute force/tongue scrapers...
I think my tongue is the cause of my bad breath, all my friends have lovely pink tongues and mine is coated. The coating is worse towards the back of my tongue. I have lately tried increasing my water intake to 2 litres a day, with no success to shifting the coating. I think that due to the amount of coating on my tongue/ personally i feel this is harbouring bad bacteria.
I have cut out dairy from my diet in a bid - no success.
I will do an anti-candida diet soon and see how it goes.
My breath is described to me as a MOTH BALLS type smell. Not a faeces smell or anything else. My saliva also smells once I lick the back of my hand. After eating and a short time after my saliva is perfect and so is my breath.
I have been doing lots and lots of research and I rekon that the tongue coating is a sign of problems within the PH of my body and my intestines.
I also get a dry mouth when I breath through my nose for along time. I also feel this is causing bad breath as my mouth does not seem to produce enough saliva.
I hope I have covered my condition enough for someone to offer me hope as I really feel for people on this forum as I know how bad and life destroying this horrible condition can be.
