Im been lurking on this site for the past year. bb all my life.i tried everything . i thought it was a stomach issue or a sinus issue or a throat issue. The smell didnt exactly smell like fart but it smelled like hot breath that hasnt been brushed for months. It was so embarassing. my brother would ask everytime around me "who farted?" everyone made up their face. everyone could smell it i had no relief at all. the only way i could smell my breath was on other ppls breath. when i licked my wrist it smelled extremely sour. i looked on a site and it said to gargle with baking soda for 30 minutes. i gargled nd the white in the back of my. tongue was decreasing. the first time i did it decreased, the next night, decreased and the next night its gone. give it a try it may work for you. btw, i had bb ever since i was little.

i also had dry mouth . since then, my mouth has more saliva.

Whats the quantity of water to Baking soda needed or how do we do this..

i use a tablespoon and i fill the cup with water. take a sip and gargle.

30 minutes is a long time to gargle. Did you mean 30 seconds?

no i meant 30 miinutes.all the other times i used baking soda for 30 seconds to a minute it wasnt effective for me. i gargle while i have my shower.

I'm not clear on your procedure.

Over 30 minutes you gargle and spit multiple times or just one long gargle?

Do you also swish the baking soda solution around in the mouth or just gargle in the back of the throat?

Please clarify.

I started gargling with this and i was able to get rid of two tonsil stones. Yeahhh!!...

I will try to gargle for 5 mins and will increase it gradually...

baking soda doesn't take the smell away but it is a good product to make your mouth less hospitable for bad bacteria.

If you combine the baking soda with some hydrogen peroxide you would have a way better result in taking the smell away.

californication. Thank you for this tip.. It really works, But for me i may have to atleast 10 -15 mins everyday inorder to be BB free, CAn do it. I even make my kid too(not for 30 mins, just gargle few times with Baking soda water), i have noticed Bb being better with her too. Let me update after some days
Thanks once again. me too sffer from BB since i am 5-6 yrs old & i am 36 now.

@chubbygurl as someone stated baking soda only removes the stench.
so no but, my bb comes from my tongue and i have been using peroxide and im seeing the difference. everytime i would brush the white was still there.

Any areas of white on tonugue is an indication of an overgrowth

@ californication, are you bb free with this method currently?

also can you be specific with what method you are using?
just baking soda, or adding hydroperoxide, and how long- how many times a day? thanks again!
