ap10063,
You have every right to be an atheist, but it is not quite logical to assume there is no God. We know that the universe exists, and we also know that we did not create it. In fact no intelligent species inside the universe could have created it because it took billions of years for life to evolve. But since the universe exists, someone or something must have created it. Obviously that must have been a "higher power". It is not unreasonable to assume that higher power was God.
Having said that, I agree that God will not solve anyone's bad breath problem. God allowed us to have intelligence so that we can solve our own poblems. It's up to us. The problem is that while we have made considerable progress along the path of evolution, we don't know everything. Maybe someday we will. But human body chemistry is highly complicated, and so far the dentists, doctors and scientists simply aren't up to the task of completely understanding all the different causes of bad breath.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I will make a couple of remarks. I didn't say that God was created from absolutely nothing. I have no idea how God was created. But we do know that the universe was created in a "big bang" approximately 13.7 billion years ago. It isn't the law of gravity that creates a universe from nothing. In fact, gravity (and all other forces) cannot come into existence until there is a universe. It has been observed that particles can come into existence spontaneously in a vacuum. (As far as is known it is always a pair of particles, one particle of positive matter and one particle of anti-matter.) This would indicate that the universe was indeed created from nothing - and probably still adds up to nothing mathematically.
All this is very interesting, but it doesn't prove that there was no God who started the process. I think it is just as difficult to believe that the process of the big bang started accidentally, as it is to believe that some powerful entity started it.
