John, that second picture is exactly what my remaining wisdom tooth looks like. Infact it's poking out even less than that. There's a tiny hole in the gum where I can just about see a white bit of tooth inside the gum. I only noticed a few months ago that if I rub this area for a couple of seconds it sometimes leaves a stink on my finger. The smell is very similar to tonsil stone/flossing smell.

The tooth on the other side which I had out in 2009 was about 70% erupted, but it had kind of grown into the tissues at the back of my mouth. There's like a wall of tissue there normally, and this tooth was half sunken into that wall. I had a picture of it once which I sent to a couple of people on here but they're not around anymore and I cant find the pics unfortunately. Taking this tooth out made me go from a sewer mouth to one which I regard as normal. But I'm still having the other tooth out incase the situation gets worse.

John, for what it takes, it's worth having such teeth removed. You have to remove as much from the equation as possible, and even if it's not causing you BB now, it may do in the future if the tooth decays or it causes decay in the molar it's pressing against.
