Does anyone have any kind of skin redness/rash after shower?

Post by onewhocares »

This is very interesting for me cause i have that as far as i can remember having bad breath.
Its a skin redness/rash i get after shower that appears mostly on my chest/stomach and back.

And one time i went to dermatologist to see what it is. I said it happens when i run and get sweaty. She made me run for about 20-30 minutes before examining me to see what is it lol. But she concluded i was allergic to temperature! ROFL I said no way, then she tested me with hot cold ampules on my skin and she was confused. Then i said it happens when swimming in the sea or taking a shower. Then she concluded im allergic to water. What a pile of you know what.

If im on a diet and eat very little - preferably vegetables... after 4-5 days i could be having shower practically without any skin redness/rash. I could even take a photo of it and post it for others to see.

If anyone experienced anything remotely similar please post here. Im very curious!

Could it be that you're allergic to your own sweat? :p
Have you ever been to an allergist?

I was at allergist when i was younger (maybe 10yo) i remember having taking allergy test (about 16 needle shots in forearm - resulting i was allergic to dust and feathers). Today there is a big difference in terms allergy and intolerance. Back then we used allergy for everything, so i wouldn't say its really severe. For example my sister was 'allergic' to dog hair... everytime she would visit she would start sneezing and her nose running. I don't have such problems.

It's not sweat cause we don't sweat during shower.

In my opinion it's whats IN the sweat or should i say what's being secreted through skin out of the body. I'm totally leaning toward candida theory. Candida is fungi and fungi reacts to water in such a way that it starts growing. That might have something to do with it.

Don't forget i was at dermatology specialist... i don't have any usual skin condition regarding rashes and whatnot. She said i was allergic to water. She told me to buy some pills and take them just before taking shower to relieve symptoms. Pills were really hard to get i needed to go to another country so i skipped it. Because thats how doctors operate - they are trying to relieve symptoms and thats it! If it doesn't work then they say we should probably see psychologist! And i was looking at that as a connection to other disorder that could be causing bad breath. So seeing dermatologist was a waste of time.
