i haven't tried either of these methods yet. can someone tell me how to use bentonite clay (how much to take, how to take it, how often, etc.)?
as for oil pulling, i know you are supposed to swish 1 tbsp between teeth for 15-20 minutes.. but what if your bb also originates at the back of your throat or tongue? will oil pulling help if i don't get gargle, or must i gargle (the idea of gargling oil grosses me out though!)

finally gave this a try tonight. it was pretty nasty. i used 10mL of sunflower oil and did it for 15 minutes (i didn't gargle, just swished). didn't seem to make a huge difference, though maybe a little. anyone else try this? did it work for you? i read it can take awhile to work, so to keep doing it...

a few hours later...
no bad taste but my breath smells like poo (i can smell it if i breathe out and quickly sniff). PND appears to be all gone - not sure if that is from oil pulling or a coincidence (my PND comes and goes). mouth feels dry.

Probably coincidence.. Myself and countless others have done oil pulling in the past. It seems useless and silly.
Pulls the toxins out... my ass.
Haven't tried the clay, but I know many people here have, and they continue posting.

i read this thing online that compared oil pulling to a car with oil and the bad stuff getting pulled out in the automobile oil which seemed to make sense to me (with my non-scientific brain though).
today i seem to be having a good breath day. not sure why as i don't think it is connected to the oil pulling (which i did only that one time 2 days ago) or any changes to my diet or routine. a good breath day for me is the rare but occasional day when my breath feels fine after i just brush and scrape my tongue and use a rinse (smartmouth or chlorhexidine) and it actually works for the day! they come and go and i have no idea why. i had an ok day yesterday, then woke up this morning and brushed my teeth and even had coffee and i didn't have bb or a bad taste in my mouth after coffee. so weird...
hopefully this lasts all day (and longer!).
anyone know why your breath sometimes cycles through good and bad days? also i notice that the odor and taste of my breath is different on different days. sometimes it is sour, other times stale, other times fecal, etc... and the rare time, it is neutral or not as bad for a reason i cannot comprehend (which never happens without brushing and rinsing though.. but i consider that to be a good thing and close enough to a "cure" for me, though short lived - that there is something i can sometimes do that works)
