bad breath diet

Post by sw »

i live in the uk and recently there has been a tv show called 'the food hospital' which tries to cure health problems using food. a lady went on the show who had 'poo breath' and cured her bb with the diet they recommended.

in a nut shell this is what they said:

-eat citrus fruit
- drink green tea
- drink mint tea
- drink milk
- eat pro-biotic yoghurt

and don't drink alcohol and and avoid refined sugar as it ferments in the mouth.

i don't drink alcohol anyway so thats not a problem. now avoiding refined sugar is the difficult part, as even vegetable stock cubes and baked beans have sugar in them! as well as a bazillion tasty sugary food.

I am trying this diet (although cheating on the baked beans and veg stock cubes), i'm happy to give up all other obvious sugary food if it means getting my life back.

you can watch the show on here:

i'll be on this diet for at least 3 months to see if it makes any difference. if not then time for plan b. but its worth a shot.

will anybody else be trying this diet?

I always thought milk would be a bad breath agent, even if you weren't allergic.
