Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

ok here's kind of a weird question. i hvae a friend who i think has halitosis. his breath sometimes smells like, the only way i know how to describe it is, the inside of intestines or something. it's not fecal. it's not sour. it's totally different from mine.

but, i can only smell it on his breath sometimes. it's not always there. and yet his car is permeated with that odor. when i have to be in his car for an extended period of time, all my clothes will smell like that. it's that strong. and yet i don't always smell it on his breath. it's the weirdest thing.

does anyone know what that smell is? does anyone have that smell?

again, to me it almost smells like half-digested food (not that i actually have a knowledge of what that smell is like), or the inside of a digestive organ...

i'm curious not because i want to find out about him. but to learn more about different kinds of odor and see if it helps me learn about mine.

Could it be a tonsils problem? It can produce a kind of rottening smell.

when you say weird intestine type odor what do you mean. I cant imagine what intestines smell like. Is it like vomit or something? He could have digestion problems like leaky gut or slow digestion. Maybe he has a fistula, or it could just be his normal body odor everyone has a natural scent.
