PND - Clearing of throat/Sinus pressure. Sometimes I do saline flushes but they never eliminate the problem or the white-coated tongue. It does help with the sinus pressure and the particles/dust I get in my nose due to my work environment.
White Coating - K12 Blis does not seem to be solving this but there is some improvement. I brush/scrape/floss (I use a water-pik) 2-5x a day. I quit using sodium lauryl sulfate toothpastes to help with dry mouth symptoms.
Tonsils - Removed in '09, mild relief f/ tonsil stones but still have that "room filling" & lingering bad breath.
Wisdom Teeth - removed in '06 (impacted) along with a cracked/rotting molar. No upper-row wisdom teeth existed. I was hoping the removal of the molar would solve this but it didn't give much relief in the long run.
Teeth/dentist experiences - Told my gums and teeth are good. I've had cavities and fillings and a root canal in the past. I currently have 3 areas on 3 different molars along the gum-line that are very sensitive and painful when I brush or rub my fingernail along it. My dentist says my gums looks good and that my teeth are fine other than the few small cavities he filled. I'm going to try oil-pulling and see if that helps with the sensitivity and maybe if there is infection because I don't trust dentists very much any more since they will deny any halitosis.
Right Jaw/Ear Pain- This started after the removal of my tonsils in '09. I get pressure in my ears and my right jaw hurts. I'm curious if maybe I have faulty dental work on one of my back molars that I had a root canal on or a cavity filling on a different one and maybe this is the culprit, as the root canal was done long ago before I ever had CH issues. I once read of a girl who had a cracked molar that had fillings and panoramic of her teeth did not show any crack in her molar and the crack was not visible due to the filling, but after convincing her dentist to pull her tooth out, she found it was indeed cracked and infected and her bad breath quickly went away.
Lactose Intolerance- I had stomach issues a few years ago. Got tested and no celiac disease or anything like that. I was never officially diagnosed with anything but I suspect irritable bowel syndrome and lactose intolerance were the causes of my stomach pain, as I've noticed milk and ice cream and I do not get along well. I cut that out and added fiber for awhile to my diet and the stomach pain pretty well went away. I still eat cheese. I think maybe I should stop, but I really don't think this is the root cause of my bad breath, just a possible contributor.
My bad breath has been confirmed through my experience of people's reactions and things people say about it; my parents won't confirm though. It's been compared to baby poo and garbage and similar such things. I've had it at least since 2005 (that's when I truly knew about it). I am now 25 years old. I used to smoke and chew tobacco and drink alcohol. I quit all of those things and the bad breath still persists.
I've been taking notes from the site and think I'll start by:
-test for H. Pylori. I really don't think I have this, though.
-trying some probiotics for a possible bacterial imbalance (thank you Prince) and also ORA MD and coconut oil pulling for the teeth and gums to rid myself of any possible oral infections. I'm going to start the GSE or tea tree oil remedy as well.
-I'm also going to try bentonite clay powder to cleanse my system (sorry but I forget who said that they used this and it worked for them, but thank you!)
-If that doesn't work, I'll cut completely cut meat, dairy, gluten, soy, and go completely onto raw foods. This won't be easy for me, but I think once I make that transition to raw foods I will stick with it for life. Heck, why not?
(for anyone considering a raw/whole foods diet, watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IONEcd2UCXY and start researching this lady's website)
-If still no relief, I will go the ENT route and get my sinuses checked (hopefully CT scan and all) to treat post nasal drip and check for other possible sinus infections/causes. My ENT denied my bad breath existing in the past so I haven't gotten very far going that route yet. Knowledge and information is key and that's why I'm so thankful for this site!
-If that fails, I will try Metronidazole (thank you AUES for the resources in your posts and congratulations on your success in finding a solution!)
-If that fails to help, I imagine that bacterial imbalance isn't the problem, and I will try Lufenuron coupled with Diflucan in case I have candida/fungal infections (thank you and congratulations Sadgirllbb!) I will also use some good probiotics as well to prevent a recurrence of candida overgrowth (MMS seems like it might be worth a shot, too).
-If all this fails, I may go as far as getting getting suspected problem teeth pulled one at a time until there's none left in case there is unidentifiable infection.
It's hard to know exactly where to start but I think this seems overall like a good approach. I will update once I start the probiotics (hopefully tomorrow I will begin) and continue to update as I go.
Any suggestions of my "order of operations" or other suggestions are welcome and at any time. Thanks also to everyone and God bless
