Bad Breath Halitosis Forum

Hello everyone,

I just can describe how drastically my life has changed after i cured my halitosis.
It just changes you as a person in all terms of aspects and you go back to being the happy person you were before the horror began.

Let me start with some general introduction about my case:

(pardon my language and word arrangement English is not my mother tongue)

I've had BB since i can't remember (childhood probably when i was 11-12) Now i'm 18 yo.

as expected i tried everything during those 7 years (brushing alot, flossing , dentist visits , mothwash, all fake supplements and herbs you can imagine, all diets , candida meds i even got braces thinking the problem was my teeth alignment )

but to no avail.

after so many time and effort learning about the case i developed alot of knowledge about Medecine in general, and i just love medecine now.
so i got into a med college (started first year last week )

i'm not gonna mention my hundreds of failed attempts i'm just gonna go straight to how i cured it.

One day i just decided i have to get the courage and go to a Gastroenterologist and tell him about my bad breath, surprisingly he was quite cooperative and decided to do an endoscopy .

after doing the endoscopy i found out that i had a MILD GERD (never really new before cause I HAD NO GERD SYMPTOMS ) but i still had a mild one

the doctor gave me 2 Meds for the GERD :
Nexium (esomeprazole magnesium)
Domperidone
and a special mothwash (optional)

So while reading the papers that came with Nexium in the uses of the medicine section i stumbled upon something interesting.
it was written that it's used in combination with 2 strong antibiotics to eradicate H.Pylori from the digestive system.

so i decided to buy those 2 anti biotics and try them with Nexium (cause Anti biotics were the only temporary relief i ever got for BB other than raw diet)

the 2 anti biotics are :
Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin

and BAM , one day after using them my tongue turned from white to pinkish red and BB is 98% gone .



I know this might not work for everybody but i advise you guys to go to a gastro and make sure you have GERD first and ask for a doctors opinion before trying anything.

i'm not sure if i had BB because of the GERD or H.Pylori and i don't think i'll ever be able to find out.

i stopped using the antibiotics a week later (the perscription said 2 weeks though) but i still take the GERD meds and no BB


in conclusion this is my cure :
NEXIUM 20mg
Domperidone 10mg
Amoxicillin 500mg
Clarithromycin

try them all together and tell how it goes

and fellow sufferers remember to never ever give up because everyone can be cured.

i wanted to add one more thing, i'm a muslim that hasn't been good religion wise, so before the endoscopy i was scared and i decided to start praying and be more religious.
since i was cured i never stopped doing that and i think it's part of the cure to be connected again with Allah

oooh and don't forget the probiotics when taking anti biotics!!!

Few questions, are you still on antibiotics? Wouldn't your endoscopy show positive result if you had h.pylori? And how did you bought antibiotics (that med. goes only on prescription) ?

No i've used the anti biotics for 7 days only
I still haven't got the Biopsy results from the endoscopy i just got the physical result which showed a mild GERD

oh and i live in a country where pharmacists sell all drugs without a prescription

did you test positive for H-py? as a med student ,do you have some extra knowledge advising you to stop antibiotics early ? I've always heard this is one of the worst things you can do .

So you been bb free for 2 weeks ? I'm not even one of the long time members on this forum but i've heard that story dozens of times that bb goes away with meds and comes back . Not to discourage though. Just a possibility to keep in mind

I wonder if remaining on the candida diet stage 1 for a few more weeks and then combining these

Omerprazole 20mg (instead of NEXIUM 20mg)
Domperidone 10mg
Augmentin 500 mg (instead of Amoxicillin 500mg)
Clarithromycin

with acuzole (metronizadole) as a mouth rinse additionally for a week...together with heavy doses of probiotics could help in my case.

I started this on January 5th, so it's been 23 days
