gut health

Post by loyd99 »

hey im new to this forum thought id do a post/blog on what i know and have experienced with regards to gut health and what it can do.

the gut is probably the most important thing in your body for your overall health everything starts/manifest's there an it will not tell you directly there is a problem often there will be a side effect such as migranes, acne, gerd, tmau, metabolic syndrome, low energy, mucus, the list is endless.

the problem with probably most of the population is we are bombarded with unnatural foods, chemical and toxins causing various forms of inflammation. Also we can eat the same food all the time through out the year which will cause food sensitivity's (mild allergy)
an allergy is it could harm you seriously very quickly such as nuts etc.

over time our good bacteria will be out numbered by the bad bacteria or the good bacteria are so used to fighting the bad they eventually attack whatever bacteria is in the gut.

so what can we do about it
get a mrt food sensitivity test - this is a proper blood test that that is up to 97% accurate (hair sample tests are rubbish like most of the others) an will show you all the foods you are sensitive to an ones which you do really well on. then over a 3 month period you cycle your foods an slowly reintroduce foods back in.
this is best done taking a few supplements such as pro/pre biotics( good bacteria), digestive enzymes and betatine hcl being the main 3 there are a few more but the ones ive listed are the best bang for your buck (you should by good quality products also)

diet
the test will help you with your diet needs but good practice is to eat natural unprocessed organic foods that are seasonal. eating to much of one thing will cause you to become sensitive which is why supermarkets arent the best place for quality or produce.
look for naturally raised meats feed on there natural diet and not stuffed full of hormones. seasonal fruit and veg not sprayed with chemicals which your body will see as toxins causing inflammation.

you can also just eat cut certain food groups out your self for a few weeks an see what happens when you reintroduce them the usual culprits are dairy and wheat both hard to find in the natural unprocessed way our ancestors would have eat. good alternatives are goats milk, coconut milk, buffalos milk and starchy vegetables

like i said at the top the befits of good gut health will be seen throughout the body it may or may not help with peoples halitosis but its worth a try just for the health benefits.
my guess if its mucus related, you have a fishy smell, your body give off a oder its very likely to be to with your gut health an nutrition.

im not a nutritionist but i have worked with a few of the country's leading ones an done loads of research. i hope this helps people if you have any questions im happy to answer.

I completely agree and I think more people need to begin looking at their digestive health for the solution to their halitosis. There is a reason that many of use have experienced some success by altering our diets. After reading a couple of threads on here and speaking to some nutritional doctors, the gaps diet seems promising for healing the gut for those of us who believe our bb could be digestive related.

Yeah well said Stankie,

doctors these days just want to prescribe drugs which in my mind is not getting to the root cause of most problems and often comes with side effects.
ive heard some states in america there trying to make it illegal go grow and farm natural produce scary if that is true.

i think if people have had some success with antibiotics you should definitely go all out to heal you gut

@stankie, is there a specific brand of probiotics that you find works best and do you also eat probiotic foods? Also, what sort of dietary changes have you made? I am very happy to hear about your progress!

I agree with what's being said on this thread. I believe, for the majority of us, curing our bb is not going to come from a magic pill, but instead from lifestyle changes, such as diet change and persistent good oral care. BTW I'm pretty sure by now that eating gluten free is making apositive difference in my bb, so I'll definately keep staying away from gluten.

Seeing how apple cider vinegar helped with my digestive issues, I ordered the following products. It's no surprise that my problem is closely related to digestion after having these symptoms for years:

gastritis
acid reflux
ibs
significant increase of bb after heavy meals (especially meat)

What is your progress using apple cider? I use 3 spoon of apple cider mix with 1 spoon of honey and i cup water after meal. My stomach still bloated wtf i don't know what other remedies that may or may not work and i'm afraid taking antibiotics that may cause another problem in the future.

I use ACV before and after every meal, but I'm not sure if it's doing more harm than good.
