Cipro & Metronidazole

I've been taking cipro and flagyl at the same time for a week almost.
I had to stop cipro because it made my joints/bones hurt real bad.
This combination did not work for me either so now I think I'm type 4 halitosis. The only thing I noticed was that my body odor has disappeared and feces didn't smell bad either. I took cipro first because flagyl had not arrived yet. Cipro is one crazy antibiotic ya'll. My knees, hips and shoulder are hurting me. So once again I'm gonna tell you that only diet with a lot of greens and water has helped me. I still got L. salivarius probiotica, but that works really well only if I pay attention to my diet. I have not finished flagyl yet, but it does not work for me. Oh, and it was actually the cipro that made my armpit odor dissapeare after for pills only. I'm not even disappointed that the antibioticas did not work. I'm am more disappointed of the freaking fact that I don't have enough discipline to do the diet. :( I'm really angry at myself for that. Yesterday was my birthday, I turned 30.

Halitosissux, what do you think of all this?

Quite a lot to think about there billie.

Are you definitely sure that your odour problem isn't just your body odour?

Systemic antibiotics would probably also affect the microbial flora on your skin surface, and might affect body odour simply for that reason.

We know for certain that metro reduces the numbers of bacteria in the gut by a considerable amount, which probably explains why your feces have less smell.

Diet with lots of greens and water usually helps if you have systemic bloodborne odour because greens have an odour neutralizing effect in the gut. The enzymes in greens and raw food probably also help with digestion in some way that reduces odour. Good hydration will reduce the concentration of any chemical buildups in the bloodstream.

Have you tried chlorophyllin?

Do you have any digestive issues like IBS?

If you don't have any clear digestive issues, then any systemic BB is most likely to relate to some "harmless" missing or defective enzyme, either TMAU or something very similar.

I would really concentrate on finding anything which can help reduce the odours created in your gut and see if you can find anything that manages to reduce the systemic buildup in your bloodstream. Try all the things which people with TMAU use to reduce their odour.

Something worth considering for anyone deciding to try any antibiotics.

How do you know you have body odor?

And what does your body odor smell like?

I just mean that sweat smell under your armpits. I think a lot of people can smell their armpits. I don't think that I really have body odor.
But yeah the odor sometimes changes, I can't describe it. Nothing really bad though. It just disappeared when I took antibiotics.
