CPAP sleep apnea machine

Just checking to see if other members have done sleep studies and use or have used any sort or sleep aid machine or device for apnea or other stuff. I have a sleep study coming up . My friend and former roommate kept telling me to get a study done and get a machine as he says i snore periodically and its helped his Dad. Any input would be appreciated . Thanks folks
