"Geographic" tongue.. anyone else??

Hey, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anybody else has a "geographic" tongue? So far, I thought bb comes from the tongue and these bacteria that hide there and produce VSC or so. But I've read that the bb comes from the throat now?

My tongue does not have that deep middle line and I guess when the mouth is dry it almost seems a little "hairy", I have little fissures standing up. When wet, it's nice and smooth (or at least feels that way).

Also, it has a white coating (mine isn't really yellow or even brown, more just white).

I do have the feeling that my bb comes at least partially from the throat (and tonsils) but sometimes my tongue tastes sour.

So, my symptoms:

1. Fissured ("hairy" tongue - when dry)
2. No middle line
3. white coating
4. sour, metallic taste, maybe sometimes feces..? i don't know, i find these different smells difficult to place..
5. tonsil stones
6. pnd (but can breathe very well through my nose)
7. dry mouth at times, sometimes almost sticky saliva

Does anyone else have these symptoms of the geographic tongue that have had improvements will pills or something else that doesn't concentrate on the tongue itself? (like toothpaste for example). I'm trying to find out if my bb originates from my tongue or another place.

Plus, how to you smell if the breath out of your nose is smelly? i really can't detect anything but maybe i just don't know how.. (and yeah, I'm just too embarrassed to ask someone around me )

your simptoms are the usuall symptons of a bb sufferer,

If you have tonsil stones, you should do the laser proceedment that finkelstein does. I did it with another ent and it helps in reduce bb. You should check for an ent than actually do this proceedment where you live. It´s expensive, but it´s for life and it don´t steal you time day by day wich i think it´s very important. Maybe your social insurance can pay it.
