sorry to ask...

is bb that causes coating tougue or coating tougue that causes bb???
i noticed some of the members here did mention that when they got some relief , their coating is lesser.. but isn't the coating tougue that provide a place for the bac to growth??

bad breath can't cause anything, it's a symptom by itself and its caused among other things, by the bacteria on the tongue.

No, a lot of people have a white coating without having bb. Usually because of the food they ate that gets stuck there and because they don't brush their tongue.

I think in your case the white coating is part of the bacteria that causes bb. So it's the white coating that causes the bb, and not the bb that causes the white coating. Bb just causes other people to grab their nose faster than u finished sayin what u wanted to say.

anyway,wat causes coating tougue?? taking anti-biotic?? i take anti-biotic daily due to acne problem..will it be the cause??

have anyone approached to a doctor merely bacause of ur coating tougue?
i've read an article months ago. it was an inetrview and the doc said that having rough papillae (sorry, i dont really know the term) is unhealthy and v should seek for medical help.. he's a sinse ( traditional chinese doctor) who works in a hospital..

so i'm wondering whether anyone of u hav seek medical help b'coz of this problem from doctor other than sinse?

i think all of us with a coating have "rough papillae". People who have pink tongues also have very smooth tongues. The very fact that the tongue is rough makes it easy for bacteria to build up, and when combined with PND there is no wonder the tongue becomes so coated.

So maybe we are just screwed genetically because we inherited a rough, grooved tongue. But how do you "treat" that without actually taking an iron to your tongue and making it smooth?

If u go to a doctor and talk about your white coating causin your bb. They will have no idea what you're talkin about, because this is a problem that relatively only a small percentage of people in the world have.

They aren't trained to cure bb and most of the time, they will just tell you that you have no bb at all to get rid of you, and if they are a more honest type, they will tell you that you might have to live with it for the rest of your life.

yea..but i've serious acne problem..i just couldn't stop it and have been taking it for almost 4 years..well, i'll check this out from my doc..thanks for reminding me about this..

you meant having 'rough papillae' is due to genetic inheritance???
which means there is nowhere to be cured and i've to suffer from bb for the rest of my life???
