I finally got the courage up to see an ENT...my dentist has been of no help....says my teeth have never looked better...I wonder why with all this damn brushing and flossing....anyway the ENT doctor says that my tonsils are fine, I have no crypts with tonsils stones hiding in them, he says that BB is very complex and just to floss, brush, and drink lots of water, and that I did the right thing coming to see him, see you later and have a good life. What a frickin waste of money...just like I knew it would be...but I needed to try. He says that the Vit C remedy is only working because it stimulates salivia flow, it has nothing to do with the Vit C...he says just to suck on lemon drops. The Vit C did nothing for me. God damn, this rotten bb is driving me nuts!

Forgot to mention one more thing....the ENT doctor asked me how I know that I have BB....I said by people's reactions and the horrible taste in my mouth and that people have told me....he asked if I can smell it....I said no one can smell their breathe....he said oh yes you can, just cup yours hands over your mouth and smell....I said that does not work and I asked him to tell me if my breath smelled.......he says oh my wife has a good nose, but I don't.....chicken shit bastard.....by the end of the visit, he was putting his hand over his mouth and nose trying not to smell me.

Hello missy

I am sorry that your ENT visit did no use. That in fact what always happen. We go to the doctor and he/she tells us to floss and brush, as if we did not try that.

Why don’t you try an endoscope that goes into your nose through your throat until the beginning of your esophagus. This to see if there is any thing wrong in your nose or if there is any foreign object inside it also if there is food remaining stuck at the beginning of your esophagus that is causing bb.

The doctor did that to me to eliminate any bb causes, and he found nothing, then I knew that my bb is only due to excess mucus. Also before I removed my tonsils when I was 20, every doctor told me that my tonsils are ok, but when I removed it my bb had gone. This was because my tonsils had pockets that stored remaining of food. There must be a source of that bb, you need to insist for the doctor to check inside your nose, and examine carefully every possible cause. Hope this helps

missy, when he asked you if you smelled it, you should have just said yes. If he still doesn't believe you, you just make stuff up, like your friends don't want talk to you anymore, and keep offering you gum.

The point is to get him to believe you and give you a treatment. I've visisted like 5 or 6 different ENT's and I must say all of them had a different opinion. Some of them didn't even bother and told me I didn't have any bb, although I could see the usual reactions I get when I spoke to him. That's was definately a liar. Then there was one who said I did have it, but he had no idea what was wrong with me. Then I asked him if I was the first one complainin about chronic bb and he said yes. Then the last one I visisted said I did have it, but it wasn't that bad. But from the look of his face, I can tell that it was. He is the one who's trying to help me now. He did tell me that nothing would be 100% sure, and personally he thinks it doesn't have anything to do with oral hygiene.

Most of the orthodox and old school ENTs won´t give you any solutions cause they aren´t prepared to treat halithosis as an illness itself.
The first Ent that i met told me that i clinically don´t have anything treatable by him, (and that pnd was a normal thing exept that it was inffection, and that the tonsils are ok, etc,)
But tonsils is one of the biggest source of bb. Try to reach for an ent that do the laser proceedment, those are who take atention to tonsils cryps looking for halitosis´s source. They´re on this business.
The others is like going to ask for a cake to someone that makes bread, or something like that :?:

Hopefully in the future there will be certain theories about halitosis that are all right. Only then will these ENT's be ready to treat us.
