also use your thumb to clean the back of the throat. only AFTER using your thumbs to expunge the post nasal drip from above the uvula and from behind the posterior faucial pillars and back of the throat...only AFTER that does it help to clean the tongue. Otherwise if you clean the tongue first, then all this post nasal drip bacteria just re-contaminates the tongue instantly. clean the tongue all the way back using both curled index fingers and a tooth brush to reach all parts of the tongue all the way down to the epiglottis, pulling the coating off it.
