Since you're 18, I would suggest going to your family doctor who can refer you to an ENT specialist!? Or speaking with your parents to set it up for you...

Once again it depends on your location. I live in Alberta [Canada] which has a pretty good healthcare system - ie. its not as busy/overworked as the other provinces. I believe I had to wait for about 1 - 2 months after I got referred, for the very first visit with the ENT. And now that I am booked for the procedure, the wait is 6 - 8 months for the actual procedure to get done. The good part though is that Canadian healthcare is free, soo the entire procedure won't cost a penny!
don't want to sound rude but how is taking a cold shower gonna help eliminate tonsil stones or maybe bad wisdom teeth?gmx99 wrote:why go there when its most likely that they wont treat the problem permanently .

Re: how do i go to an ENT and how much will it cost?
I just got my tonsils taken out this year. My insurance covered most of it. Without insurance, it would have cost me about $5,000 total. This includes consultation with the doctor and the actual surgery.
It depends on where you live as well. Some states cost more than others.
To find a good ENT google your city + ENTs and they will come up. I request reading reviews before picking one. There are websites like HealthGrade where patients rate the doctors.
I picked a great ENT, he agreed after our 1st consultation, and was even nice enough to book me for surgery the next week after I told him I was anxious and wanted to get it over it. He originally booked me for 3 weeks. Good luck.
