Jimi, i think you should get a new dentist, ASAP. If you are paying for a service then they should treat you with respect ffs!
my dentist is lovely, i have been going to him since i was in school. i have never actually asked him about BB, he always wears a mask so i reckon he wouldnt notice, he usually just compliments me about my teeth, however, he is aware that i am paranoid about my teeth and i like them to be perfect.
i dont really see much point in asking him about it, i know my teeth are good and i think he is pretty conventional. he wasnt too chuffed when i had my son and wouldnt use a toothpaste with fluoride in it for him. i just felt it was too dangerous to use it on a small child, so i used weleda toothpaste (he never ate sugar anyway). so i reckon he would give me the usual response and recommend some mouthwash or something.

all the dentist that i had treated me good and with respect, even those who don´t have a clue about halitosis...
-one told me that i don´t have nothing wrong
-one old dentist told me that i had nothing wrong and start telling me about halitophobia and that i should go to a psychologist cause it could be a sympton of another problem (of course, in the head)
-and the third is a woman that is treating me now, she treats halithosis, but she charge me fortunes, what the hell, i´m trying to go the less posible...
i think the best you can do is change your dentist and start from the beginning all over again, and tell him straight and clear about why you are there, for me it took me many years but it´s what has gave me the best results, years ago i just went out of the office with empty hands and more confusse than before...
