Somebody posted about him doing op on lingual tonsils so I called him and I got this reply

I don't really have time to hang out on forums reading and answering questions... BUT, if you like, you and your members can come up with a list of questions.

Email me the list of questions, and I'll answer them as best I can and send back to you to handle as you feel fit.

Can you please tell us the symptoms that would indicate whether a person needs a tonsil surgery?

Could you explain us in detail the procedure of lingual tonsillectomy and how this surgery could stop the overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria in that area?

Is the porcedure 100% effective?

Could you explain us how is the post-operation in this case? (days for recovery, pain, etc...)

Could you explain us what is the function of the lingual tonsils on our body? Does this intervention has any kind of sideeffects?

------
Could you explain us the function of adenoids and in what case this could contribute to anaerobic bacteria overgrowht??

Could a Cronic Bad Breath Sufferer still had an invalanced level of anaerobic bacteria on his mouth enviroment after the diagnose and possible surgery/treatment of this kind of dissorders? (palatine and lingual tonsils, adenoids,etc..)

ps to jimi: it´s possible that some questions are not be well redacted as english is not my first language, please feel free to correct them...

thanks

Could an inflamed thyroid have an affect on halitosis?

My doctor says I have "small" tonsils. Does this make me more succeptible to halitosis?

Questions to the dr.:
Did you already cure people with halitosis by removing lingual tonsils ?
If not, what was the reason of operation ?
If yes, what are the expiriences ? (succes rate)

Is it a one time operation ? Or do you have to come back an other time to finish ?
Are there long term site effects after operation ?
What are the total costs ($) ?
Do you know other doc´s who do this operation ? (Europe ?)

Jimi, you are free to correct my english.

Rahul,
Yes bacteria, but maybe there is a complete cure by removing lingual tonsils (organs) and changing the environment in the mouth and throat.
