Hey guys,
Just wanted to give an update on my personal battle. Well a week ago I went to ENT and he diagnosed me with GERD. Since then I have radically changed my diet and I feel alot better. PND is down, GERD has been reduced with change of diet and eliminating dairy, sweets, etc...and mucus is at an all time low. I have started taking magnesium, zinc, vit b,c, green tea, chlorphll, and my body has never really felt this good but Bb is still prevalent. I meticulously clean my mouth constantly and can feel such a difference now that I am keeping up with it.
My mouth has been cleared by dentists so I thought it was digestive or sinuses. I dont sinus rinse because I have the bad nasty taste in the back throat area so rinsing nose didnt make sense to me. Now with everything working so well except for no change in the diet, I started cleaning my throat more and more and even brushing my tonsils. It felt so much better the further I could clean in my throat so I constantly concentrated on this area to one day my first tonsil stone popped out. It was pretty small and even when I tried to open it there wasnt that bad smell that everyone describes. So I keep cleaning and cleaning deeper and deeper trying to get a fresh taste back there and then voila, a huge tonsil stone. I was sooo happy casue it meant that there was something that I could be affecting that I never knew. I cracked that baby open and HOLY COW it smelled like crap...just like all the times I got a backdraft of my own smelly breath. I mean the smell was so familiar...so me I should say. I made sure I got a good smell cause I can never smell my breath and I wanted to remember what everyone else smelled all the time. Immediately I made an appt with another ENT and started prepping myself to convince this guy that I HAD TO GET THESE OUT NO MATTER WHAT. I even thought about paying him a bit to get it done. Well to my relief he was an older doctor who immediatley knew my pain and he says to get those tonsils out and you will have relief. Not %100 RELIEF but more relief like when you take a nasty garbage out of the room; the room may still smell a bit but nothing like it did when the trash was sitting. I can go for this. He even showed me that he could see a few and my tonsils were swollen. Ever since I have had the same taste of those stones in my mouth. Its the same smell that Ive always had, shit. But nevertheless its the smell from the stones. No stones, less shit smell.
I have an appt in 2 weeks to get these babies out with the old method of cutting and he will take them all out since he doesnt believe in partial removal. I must say that I havent felt this good in months. I read many posts here about people that had it done and it didnt help or it did for some but on another forum where this is the main topic, it worked for so many. It only makes sense that it should help alot. Maybe not for everyone but for those like me where there is no real obvious reason for the smell. I dont gaurantee it'll work completely but I know it will help a bunch. I dont even mind the shitty smell in the throat anymore cause its temporary...you fuckers are getting out!!! I will also have him check adenoids while doing the surgury.
I will update everyone constantly and no matter what I will remain here to assist with others cause this issue has changed me for the better no matter what and we will always be connected as brothers and sisters like I posted in my very first post here.

Glad to here you found some stones.. I think more people have them than they know.. I've heard people say they've come and went for them... But I'm certian there's still bits of junk stuffed in their tonsils.. They just don't see it till it comes out.
Anyone with badbreath should have them removed completely before worrying about other causes.
I went to an ENT today, finally, .. and the Dr. confirmed what I already knew... That i had extremely cryptic tonsils...
He said he'd be happy to take them out for me, but then came the issue of me not having insurance.. Their office is going to call me back tomorrow giving me information on what the hospital will charge (what the ENT charges pales in comparison to the thousands of dollars the hospital will charge)
According to my dad, my little sister's tonsil removal ended up costing over 5000 dolalrs... Ugh.. However she was covered under insurance, so it only came to around a hundred dollars..
Healthcare in this country is really fucked up.. I'm 22, a fulltime student, and I'm not covered for shit >.<
My dad's going to look into some other plans and see if there are any available that may help.. If not, I may be screwed and just have to deal with this nasty ass breath for years to come
The ENT did mention that there are some doctors who will cut out your tonsils without the hospital being involved.. Driving the costs down to a couple hundred probably.. It would hurt like hell cause he's going right in without anything to numb the pain but I think it'd be worth it. He said this is how they remove tonsils in China.... If this were to be my last option, I'd take it...

Happdays, I had mine taken out all of them....my ent didn't believe in partial removing....he said if they grow back whats the use in taking them out. I think this is why some people say it was so bad (which in my case it was, but it was worth it) and some people say it wasn't. Good luck I am sure you will see a huge difference I did...no more nasty taste or bad breath.....people are getting tired of me asking how does my breath smell, they say I don't smell nothing. Good luck!
