Been roaming this site for months and used to chat some but not lately.....same old story.....tried every damn product on the internet and nothing worked......don't think I have PND....my nose is never plugged and nothing runs down my throat.....got up the courage and went to a ENT two months ago.....told him about my BB and asked if I had tonsil stones.....he said no after a 2 second check of my throat....then said BB is a very complex issue and just go home and drink lots of water.....thanks for nothing asshole.....I should have been more prepared to ask questions....I had made a list and forgot it at home.....I told him my throat always feels slightly swollen and I have a sore throat a lot of the time.....and I always have a terrrible taste in my mouth no matter how I brush or floss....my dentist says my teeth and gums look great......you would think a doctor would try to do more than what he did or refer me to someone......my throat seems to be sore almost every day and it's always red......do you guys have this?.....I might get up the courage and go back to him and ask, no demand, help......with all the success with you guys having your tonsils out.....I'm thinking I should go for it....if this asshole doctor won't help me, I have to drive 3 hours to the next big town....that would suck......but I'm getting desperate......had slight BB most of my life but the last 5 years have been horrible....friends just stopped calling and everyone covers their mouths when they talk to me....the worst is when they pull their sweater up over their nose....god, for embarrassing......so to repeat my question....does anyone else have red tonsils and sore throats?.....when I swab them with a q tip and rub it on my arm....it smells sour....just like my tongue does...or is my tongue just spreading it to my tonsils?

Sounds like your tonsils but when you see the ENT you have to seem more informed. My first one did something similar before I knew I really had stones. In and out in 5 minutes and I was like damn.

If you brush really good and have a sour taste in your throat immediately afterwards, then its a good chance you have tonsil stones. I didnt know for years until I started brushing my tonsils everyday and they started popping out only within the last 2 weeks. Now when I do smell my breath, it smells just like the stones. never had sore throat or anything that would make me think it was my tonsils other than it would smell 1 minute after brushing. If you have eliminated you mouth for sure then I would go back and just tell em that you have seen some come out and ask him to really get back there and check. make sure he uses a device and sticks it down there deep. If not go to another one. I feel so lucky that they eventually surfaced cause I would still be buying products and wasting money cause nothing would help except getting rid on the tonsils. Now I have 2 weeks to go til the operation and I cannot wait!

hi missy,

try to find the tonsil stones yourself,

search the interwiew that jimi did to yehuda finkelstein on this site, there is an explanation on how to find it by yourself....

and don´t get ashamed anymore when you go to see any doctor about this. This is just a disorder, they should be ashamed for don´t have any answers, not you.

even if tonsils stones aren't forming, if there are crypts in your tonsils, there's some bacteria having a party in them..

No matter how good you clean your mouth, the tonsil juice will spread back into your mouth, over your tongue, etc..

Definitely go back to the ENT. Or better - go to another one regardless of the 3 hour drive!!!
