Lingual Tonsil video
There is definitely *something* going on with our lingual tonsils (which are part of the back of the tongue).
The guy on the video talks a lot about the area being fillled with mucous glands (these send out mucous into the oral cavity) -- maybe the problem is with these actual glands?
Otherwise, I guess it's just the classic problem of bacteria hiding in those crypts seen in the video.
If only we could find an ENT who can take this seriously and check our lingual tonsils out properly...

I agree with this post. Mucous glands/salivary glands near the back of the tongue, seem to be where all the action is taking place. At least that is what it feels like sometimes. I know while I sleep, that area gives me discomfort. It's so dry I feel like it's shrunken up and can't produce like it should.Larc400 wrote:There is definitely *something* going on with our lingual tonsils (which are part of the back of the tongue).
