I'm new to this site and any bb-related community online for that matter. My reaction at first was... shock and surprise. I then followed to read the forum and my gosh, i've been blown away at the tenacity & strong wills of the members here. And i can definitely say after reading some threads you posted that you are truly one of my heroes in the fight to find a cure for bb. So basically i want to say thank you. & don't lose hope!
yeh man, this site wouldn't be half of what it is without you. You put into words what we lack the vocabulary to say ourselves. And you've done so much to help find a cure with so many specialists, not to mention your own crazy ventures, risking your own health.
I do know what you mean though, im kinda depressed because my breath is so good and my better judgement is telling me it wont last.
i dont think it makes a difference. I just bought a bottle of "Inner health plus" today. Its Acidophilus bacteria. Cost me AU$60!! But when i finish my course im gonna definately start them, as well as K12 probiotics, just to make sure i get as much good bacteria as possible afer wiping everything out, and tip the balance back in my favour.

I have tried acidophilus in the past (dont think it was that expensive though??). Didnt work for me (but dont let that stop you trying it). Let us know how you get on with it.

I feel obligated to do the right thing by informing you guys that I need to take an indefinite break from my involvement so you guys don’t think that I’ve found a cure and abandoned everyone without saying a word. Metronidazole is killing off bacteria, and yes, my breath is good. However, as we know too well it’s only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose again-BB back with a vengeance; though I hope that I may join jonnyath in freedom.
I still have my ENT appointment in February, and if Dr. okay with laser tonsil, I am going for it.

Stay strong and take care John. Don't be discouraged cause I really feel that there's hope for us. I mean, I'm still struggling with this bb problem but for the past three months or so I notice that my bb has improved a lot. And if it can be improved maybe someday if won't get in the way of everything I do anymore.

the reason it cost that much is because it's a 3 month supply.
The reason i am going to dose up on probiotics is because antibiotics wipe out ALL bacteria, good and bad, and its up to chance which ones will dominate in the end. So by introducing plenty of good bacteria, I'm helping them win the war.
i cant wait until my flagyl comes in. i got it online from the least shady-looking website. so hopefully, it will work.
there are a lot of instersting stuff out there.... this one website had 100 pills of metro 200mg for like $20. i asked their customer service straight up whether they were real or just sugar tablets. she said they worked. i then asked her why they were produced in india, a country notorious for fake medicine (as ive heard). she said again that they worked. i passed.
anyway. between this and the benzakonium chloride, one ought to do the trick for us. if they both fail, well then, i dont know if i could get up in the morning anymore.
Like many of us, I have tried everything is posted here to convince myself it works, I have to say I did try flagyl 250mg, for two days it did not work, then I increase dose to 500mg for one day. It did not work. The only thing that work for me only until I eat is the soap, the rest it does not work. The problem with the soap when you go to a restaurant with someone, and you are eating you see and notice the people reaction. I would like to believe the metronidazole works, but by experience it does not work I used for three days, it did work so I stopped it.
I would like to know if someone else has tried with good or bad results

Hm... I also wouldnt trust a site that sells prescription drugs without prescription
whats the status of everyone using this drug? austuser, oceanside, is it still working? has it worn off? what about the rest of you. have you seen your doctor or ordered it?
i havent recieved mine yet but i feel pretty optimistic that it will work on me. this is mainly due to the fact that i have similiar odor problem where my body releases some nasty smelling stuff while im sleeping. basically, i have some kind of bacterial infestation going on, where one is related to the other. metro seems perfect to combat this.
BEFORE you start metronidazole, think about doing a tripple treatment. I was doing some reading over at the helicobacter foundation http://www.helico.com/index.html
and came accross some interesting information.
Before you say, "i dont have H. Pylori", dont be quick to assume. Apparently the tests arent always conclusive, and even if you dont have it, apparently a tripple treatment (including metronidazole) for H. Pylori also will cure halitosis. Thats what they claim.
I may have ruined my chances because using only metronidazole on its own may not work in the long run, and will make me resistent to it meaning i will need more complicated treatment.

I started my treatment saturday, it works in removing bb, but I can't stop worrying that it will come back when I finish the treatment.
This is a proof that bb(at least for me but I think that for others too) is caused by anaerobic bacteria like Prevotella and Fusobacterium, whether they are in the tonsils or other places.
I was surprised to see that in my country you don't need a prescription to buy Metranidazole. But I am cautious about thinking about long term treatment.
