I'm going to delay my HP treatment until after my ENT appointment at the end of the month.
Could I ask the other people who are trying the triple therapy, do you have nasal bb/smelly mucous? Do the antibiotics get rid of this whilst you're taking the antibiotics? How long are your treatments for, 7, 10 or 14 days?
Keep us posted about how well this works, particularly after you've finished your courses.
Good luck!

hello.. oops, i replied to your email before i saw your posting..
Yes, i had 2 upper wisdom teeth out many years ago, leaving 2 bottom teeth in. One was horizontally impacted (left side) and completely under the gum as you describe too. The other was partially impacted and 75% erupted, but under lots of gum and tissue, this is the tooth i had extracted and responsible for the odours. The other tooth is still in, and i intend to have that done in hospital eventually, but it doesnt give me any problems at all.
Does the tooth you intend to have out produce foul odours?

hey thanks alot for the picture...i was wondering what do you cosider as as the pockets where the bacteria hides...the tissues surrounding the wisdom tooth...plus i tried to gently squeeze the tissues around my wisdom tooth, can't seem to be able to tell whether an odour comes out from there or not.

hello.. yw,
Yes the whole crown of the tooth on its far side, covered in gum and tissues which dont adhere to enamel, so it forms a pocket where bacteria are free to go wild. I could push a syringe over a centimetre into that pocket.
I never had to try hard when i rubbed a finger, foul crap was constantly discharging from there. Try to imagine, every time my jaw moved, it acted like a pump which forced this stuff in and out, keeping my mouth like a sewer and the bacteria well-fed on saliva/dead cells/food debris/etc.
See what your dentist reckons. Solving BB requires trial and error, and taking out suspect molars is nothing compared to other more drastic steps like tonsillectomy. So if in any doubt, have them out!
