Is anyone having this problem? leaking sinus into gums?

I really believe that my BB is coming from sinus area ...leaking into gumline! I can "feel" something with my tongue in the area , upper side, and taste a foulness there as well...have been to many dentists , a perodint. who did a scrape,an ENT , had an MRI...no one can pinpoint my problem! but I can FEEL and taste it! is it possible for this to happen? my dentist showed me my xray and the sinus runs right above the line!! so that gets me thinking....hmm maybe its that?

Hi sly,
Upper teeth can invade the sinuses and perhaps lead to some breach of the seal around the gums giving the tastes you describe. I dont know what, if any, symptoms such a situation like this might typically cause. Worth researching, but you'd expect an MRI scan to pick something like this up, but you never know. You mention how close your sinuses appear to the line of your teeth in the x-ray, this could be the important factor in sinus invasions.
If you are tasting foulness around certain teeth, if you rub your finger there does it smell bad? If you do it might also have nothing to do with your sinuses either.

thank you so much for responding! I really feel like a freak..sometimes I can smell this on a finger, sometimes after licking my lips, ugh...the awlful smell....sometimes i smell that heavy poo smell that others talk about, and sometimes just catch a wiff of something and then it's gone...i do feel like a freak show...and so foul smelling....my teeth are very clean, whitem even, and i floss and have regular checkups....this has been going on for a few years now.....it's very depressing, worse in the winter??

no one else has ever heard of this?? man....my luck

again, thank you so much for responding! I read the 1st page, will continue tomomrow... had hopes up, but then the person writing had his teeth recently pulled, and mine have been out for 20 years! also, my stinky area, i believe, is further front, a smaller tooth and the gum around it, above it...but also feel stink comes from nose ?? much to read here!! you floks are a godsend!!

i will read the whole 6 pages tomorrow...am exhausted rightnow! long day..it's tiring trying to keep breath freshed up all day at work....running into co workers who blessedly for them do not have my insane problem....

Hey sly,
If you look at anotomical diagrams of the sinuses and teeth, any of the upper teeth (apart from the front obviously) if they sit high enough could penetrate into the sinuses, so dont get disheartened. These tastes/odours you are getting are not normal for whatever reason its happening, and you need to keep going until you find out why.
Take it from me. I had one tooth which had allowed a small pocket of gum to form around it, i could taste a kind of acidic/sour discharge of foul smelling chemicals constantly oozing out from there. I dealt with that and discovered it to be the cause my problems.

Thanks again! I just wrote a detailed reponse, but don't now where it went!!! Oh well...I was saying that you are right about the close prox. between teeth and sinus...I will contnue to search for info! and my cure!

well I spent a good hour or so on curezone.com....pretty good info there!! lots of people seem to have the BB from sinus problems...today my throat is horrible with drainage, etc..took an over the counter pill to help...believing this is part of my problem...breath is BAD today..real bad....I now have some hope that trying a few things may help...anyone hear of Primal defense?? this is all new to me....I feel like a BB newbie...not that I have not suffered many years, but that I am finally looking to the web for help!!! bless you all,esp. you, halitosisux...you really cared enough to respond!
