The worst Story of BB comes from Hawaii...

Post by Hawaii »

Hello, I am a 22 year-old male resident of Hawaii, With just about the worst story of chronic halitosis to tell;

Since I was 13, I've been told by people that I have bad breath, and back then, when doubled with poor oral hygene. only worsened the problem.

When I came of age and moved to hawaii, Constant Brushing/mouthrinsing only provided minutes of relief. all the typical mouth rinses and toothpastes simply did not help at all. After a while I gave up on it and just accepted it. Also, there was a period of time in which constant and LONG-term insufflation of cocaine permanently and irreperably damaged my nasal cavity. oral ingestion has also damaged my gums and cheeks considerably.

Due to my social standing and my position of power in my field of employment, both peers and co-workers alike never mention anything about it at all these days out of fear of spitefull retaliation on my part...but I know it is there. IT IS SO BAD I CAN SMELL IT EVEN WHEN I EXHALE NASALY! When I talk, people stay a good 3-4 feet away from me when they can, and when the situation prevents a good distance, they hold their breath the whole time my mouth is open. Yeah, It's that bad.

This condition has long-since turned into a psychological problem, diminishing my self-esteem, self-confidence, while also creating an otherwise non-existent social anxiety disorder. I now avoid talking to people as much as i can(which is a serious problem for me since my work involves a LOT of social interaction with a lot of different people) and when I do, I try to be considerate and talk with my head facing away from their nose.

There is also a love in my life and I am almost positive that my halitosis is so bad that it has RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP WITH HER!! We both came here to california to visit on slightly seperate dates with plans to meet up soon after, but she stopped answering my calls, the only way I have of getting a hold of her...and she hasnt called me since the middle of january, almost a month ago. this is what truly kills me. I'm completely In love with her and my breath to too rank to kiss her AT ALL. But I cant kiss her now anyway since my RANK ASS BREATH SCARED THE LOVE OF MY LIFE AWAY. who would of thought such cripplingly intense feelings of loss and anguish could be a direct result of chronic halitosis....

This is indeed a sad story. But i'm sure others share your pain. I dont think me or anyone here could say anything that would make you feel better, besides that there is a cure. Well, truth be said that some of the members here are really devoted on working that out, and for what i've been reading here there are quite recent and promising improvements, so all I can tell you is hang in there and rest assured that this battle against halitosis will be won.

I'm so sorry. :( My breath and odor scared away my only love too. Although I'm quite young, I think I know something about love.
But hang in there. I know that you've probably done this already, but did you have your tonsils checked?

Actually I haven't had my tonsils checked. To be honest with you my memory is so f...ed up from all the drugs i've taken back when i was 13-20 that I cant even really remember if i have got them checked , but i'm almost sure i havent.

has anybody tried the Germ-X on your toothbrush besides oceanside? I'm really wanting to try it out, but if that doesnt work, i think i'm going to northern california and paying 570$ for this so-called "cure" from Anthony Dailey DDS.

BTW, I sent the above mentioned dentist an e-mail with almost identical text to the first message i posted onm this thread and he replied rather promptly with this;

Dear (name withheld),

Thank you for your inquiry and the extensive background you provided. I would not recommend topping off your toothpaste with the benzalkonium chloride. This chemical is not intended for internal use. You will be happy to know that your past history with drugs will not interfere or diminish your ability to resolve your halitosis. Because of the many things you have going on and also the issue with your nasal cavity I would strongly urge you to see me for treatment. I will have the best chance of resolving your condition if I see you in person.

Receiving treatment in our clinic is by far the best way to resolve a halitosis condition and regain the highest levels of self-confidence. By seeing me in person I can obtain an accurate diagnosis of the different causes of your condition and direct our treatment specifically at those causes. I have never had a case of halitosis I couldn't successfully resolve when I obtain an accurate diagnosis, and this goes back to 1996 when we opened our clinic up. For patients who travel a long distance to see us I will see them on back to back appointments. A significant portion of the patients we treat come from out of state or out of the country. This can be done on consecutive days on a Friday and Saturday if that is more convenient for you. After completing the full evaluation and assessment of your halitosis condition I will determine the causes of your problem and direct treatment specifically at these causes. There will be multiple causes to your condition. I also have the ability to use stronger prescription medications in our clinic that I cannot make available through our web site. The first appointment takes at least one hour to complete. I then will place you on an accelerated treatment program. If my diagnosis and treatment are correct then you will see your halitosis eliminated by the time I see you on your second appointment. This has worked very well for every patient we have treated in this way so far. If you are considering coming to see me we can help you by providing you with recommendations on places to stay that are reasonably priced and within 5 minutes of our office. We also have an arrangement with a local motel near our office that will provide our patients a discounted rate of $69.00 per night. The cost of treatment is $570.00. This includes all of your appointments and any medications we might recommend to you. If you have dental insurance we can help you get reimbursement, and reimbursement usually averages between $100.00 and $300.00. We generally recommend renting a car because this is less expensive than taking public transportation and more convenient. We can help you with that if necessary. I look forward to being able to help you resolve your halitosis condition. If you are interested in setting up an appointment or have any questions please call us at 1-888-373-7403 (for international calls 415-383-6038) and we will be happy to assist you. Our office hours are Mon. - Fri. 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM PST.

Lastly, in your future e-mails please use a subject matter that has something to do with breath, halitosis etc. The reason for this is we delete hundreds of spam e-mails and many e-mails containing viruses every day. The spammers have gotten smarter and are now sending spam with the subject of “help”, “information”, "products", "your products", "your order", "re-order", “question”, etc. in an attempt to get us to open them. If we don't recognize an e-mail with a subject matter that is pertinent to our business, or there is no subject with the e-mail, or the subject is like the one you used, we will likely delete it. I came very close to deleting yours this time because the subject of "Just try and cure this..." looked like spam.

Sincerely,
Anthony Dailley DDS

--It looks to me like everything before "Recieving treatment in our clinic..." is the personal response to my inquiry, with the latter being what he copies and pastes onto all replies after his short personal response. does anybody have any feed back on this guy? anybody tried him before? 570$ is a lot cheaper than i thought it was going to be...

This is just a long-shot but you could try talking to a doctor and ask him to remove them. That Anthony Dailey's post seems promising and if you have extra money I'd definitely recommend that you go there. Unfornately there isn't such place in my country but I would check it if I was you.

Hawaii, dont try that germ-x thing yet. It could mess the mouth flora or something so you better go to that doc first and then try it.
