I have been doing some reading on natural remedies for things such as allergies, acne, IBS, acid reflux, etc. Two natural remedies caught my attention.
1. Turmeric
http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/turmeric.html
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html
Anyone ever try either of these? If so, please let us know your experience.
Best.

hi there I am a newbie here...
how about trying an old method like Miswak? I had a terrible bad breath for many years and I had a terrible experience with my ex co-workers due to this problem.
I've tried many things like mint, tumeric etc but nothing is working.
I use Miswak for a week now. My other half says my breath smells good now
. much much better than before. So I am happy to share with everybody here with my new eperience. Free from bad breath. I hope this will help you to cure your bad breath problems.
some info about Miswak:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miswak
A few important benefits of Miswak
Kills Gum disease causing bacteria.
Fights plaque effectively.
Fights against caries.
Removes Bad breath and odor from mouth.
Creates a fragrance in the mouth.
Effectively clean between teeth due to its parallel bristles.
Increases salivation and hence inhibits dry mouth (Xerostomia)
Scientific Studies on Miswak
Although the 70 supposed benefits of Miswak range widely, the main one we are examining is its effect on oral health. So, let’s throw some light on scientific studies conducted on Miswak.
The Wrigley Company made a study on Miswak which was published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. The study found that mints laced with Miswak extract were 20 times more effective in killing bacteria than ordinary mints. A small testimony to this fact is that after half an hour, the mints laced with Miswak extract killed about 60% of the bacteria where as the ordinary mints managed only 3.6%
In the August issue of Journal of Periodontology (2008) appeared a study conducted by Swedish researchers on Miswak. The study apparently found that suspended Miswak pieces in a petridish (medium for culturing bacteria) were able to kill bacteria that cause periodontal disease with out being in physical contact with the bacteria. The researchers suggested that Miswak might be giving antibiotics as gases trying to explain this phenomenon.

Thanks.. I hope so. I know a week is too early to say it as a victory against bb but this has been practice long before. Miswak kinda a natural remedy because Salvadora persica tree where Miswak twig is taken from contains a number of medically beneficial properties including abrasives, antiseptics, astringent, detergents, enzyme inhibitors, and fluoride.halitosisux wrote:Well done and good luck, i hope it lasts for you and anyone else who tries it. One week is a bit premature to call this a victory though, since other antibacterials will do the same thing for a week or so and then lose their effectiveness.
I am quite happy with Miswak. I know I am still at the stage of experimenting this twig but it really works on me.

I recently found earthclinic site over the weekend and decided to give some of those things a go...
what I'm doing is the apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons + 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda) in a tall glass of water twice a day, 5 days out the week. It's too soon to tell anything I'm barely on day 3 ..
other things I've found on earthclinic was a
-hydrogen peroxide / baking soda mouthwash .. i've been doing this for 3 days (in the morning and at night) (50/50 h202/water) as well and I can tell you that by the second day I could not smell my breath, ever. Not even in the morning. And there is no bad taste in my mouth all day anymore. But I'm still scared that the breath is still there lol.
-oil pulling started this last night , some people have found this to be their "miracle cure" within days, some people months. but I'm up for it anyway
i'll let everyone know how this goes in a couple more weeks

I learned from curezone website that one of the causes of bb is tapeworm infection. So I follow the advices on how to cure this infection/kill the tapeworm. I took COQ10 and fish oil and eat a lot of raw pineapple, papaya, pumpkin seed, garlic and cayenne pepper. So far this formula has been very effective to me. My white tongue coating has gone and bb free for 3 weeks now. You can do research about tapeworm in the internet or visit curezone website to know more about this infection.
thats great news.. congratulations I bet you feeeel great. One question what is COQ10 and where could I get it? I'm pretty much going all-out on this natural remedies thing because the doctors/American health insurance have really been pissing me off latelyMaynila wrote:I learned from curezone website that one of the causes of bb is tapeworm infection.
