Anyone tried antibiotics + fasting + antifungal mouthwash?
Anyone tried antibiotics + fasting + antifungal mouthwash?
I'll be seeing my doctor again and I will ask him to give me Metronidazole and antifungal mouthwash. I'm aware that some of you have already tried that, but I want to experience it myself. I'm thinking about fasting for 1-2 weeks too, only water and veggies. I'll also ask something for my PND. I know too that BB can come back even worse but.. I have to try something.

Don't do that to yourself; two week fasting. There has been sufferers who went on a crash course of zero meat/protein due to its nature to feed anaeorobic bacteria. They reported relife wihin a week b/c the body is completelely depleted of needed nutrient, plus there's nothing in their bowel. They thought it was a cure. However within weeks they are sticks and bones. All kinds of symptoms came up due to malnutrient; especially for women. There has been one case of relief so far.
There is one way of helping with your PND. Purchase a NeilMed sinus rinse. It greatly helps to open sinus congestion and also helps with PND. I no longer use my flonase b/c sinus rinse helps that much. And with the metronidazole, well... I really don't believe that it cures chronic halitosis. A reporter said that he never realized he had bad breath and that support sites such as this existed. How can anyone not realized you suffered from chronic bad breath when everything we say out of our mouths is an indicator.
We are here to find relief, support, and share ideas but when something that has been tried, tested, and miserably failed we also have the responsiblity to share it with others whom yet stumbled on such information.

I got my tonsils removed on the 22nd of Jan and of course I wasnt able to eat anything but tons of vitamin water I would open up probiotic pills and mix them in the vitamin water, and different juices like organic carrot juice and organic strawberry banana juice. I also was and am still on antibiotics. I can't say wether its done anything or not but my mouth feels awesome. I only brush once a day i haven't scraped my tongue since surgery and I have been off spirulina and chlorella for a month. We'll see what happens but I just wanted to say if you decide to do this then you should at least make sure to drink a vitamin type drink with electrolites like vitamin water gaterade etc. and try picking up organic fruit and vegetable juices for nutritional value. THey should sell them in larger grocery stores and healthfood stores like ukrops whole foods etc. I loved ottowa and bolthouse but they have a huge selection of stuff. Also if you are going to be on antibiotics for a while like i am you should compensate by taking lots of probiotcs. You can do a combination of the lozenges and the pills or just mix pills in your liquids like i did.

I've said it here once, my bad breath came from pnd because of my rinitis, and i talked to the doctor about it and she gave me this thing called Proflox which is a 5 day pill treatment and it did the job for me. I used to lick my wrists and noticed this awful stench, i guess that's a certain way to know if you have bad breath or not, right? Can someone please confirm me this? Anyway, since then i do the "lick and smell" test and i'm fine. So i guess so far the Proflox did it for me. I do have dry mouth most of the time, but that's probably because i work out and take creatine, plus natural protein shakes. And i do know protein is bad for people with bad breath, and since creatines dries the mouth it's also another bad thing.
dont forget, you ARE still on antibiotics, so it could go south after that. I really hope the best for you and i am going to get my own tonsils removed soon to see if it helps.BronxJazzy wrote:I got my tonsils removed on the 22nd of Jan and of course I wasnt able to eat anything but tons of vitamin water I would open up probiotic pills and mix them in the vitamin water, and different juices like organic carrot juice and organic strawberry banana juice.
