Im new to the forum. I see some of you feel that Colgate Total helps with BB. i was wondering what toothpastes are best for this. How about Tom's of Maine. Maybe the cinnamon type...ive read that cinnamon may help.
Thanks for your help.

hi shiloh. i have never used any toothpaste that actually helps my breath, but i can say some make it worse and some don't. i actually try to stay away from any commercial toothpaste that contains the foaming agent SLS (or something like that, can't remember the exact name). they usually make my breath and the taste in my mouth a lot worse. i've tried tom of maine and it was the same.
i use jason's and other natural toothpastes now and they do freshen me up (for a little while anyway) without making my breath worse. so that's what i'd recommend from my own experience.

That's sodium lauryl sulfate you're referring to and yes, it does suck. That's why I use Biotene, the toothpaste for people with dry mouth. Very gentle, I love it.waitingforrelief wrote: i actually try to stay away from any commercial toothpaste that contains the foaming agent SLS (or something like that, can't remember the exact name). they usually make my breath and the taste in my mouth a lot worse. i've tried tom of maine and it was the same..
