Candida diet log
Ok so, if you are on the candida diet, I thought it might be a good idea to post the progress of our diets.
It is late tonight, and I notice this is thick mucous in my throat, and the dark smell came back. I cheated on the food later in the day(with chicken tikka, and white basmati), although I still ate a few large pieces of kale and a few cherry tomatos with it.
I will drink triphala tonight, as usual. This helps me have a bowel movement right when I awake. It also makes my mouth taste fresh.
I will post tommorrow.

Candida diet
Just started and first step is to try and cut out sugar. Not going to eat any dairy, except for no-sugar yogart w/ fresh berries. I still have smell and still using waterpik w/ H20/peroxide solution. Don't expet changes for a while until I start taking cleanse and supplements. Also not taking in any kind of softdrinks (drinking water, hot tea and sparking flavored water, excluding aspertame). Good idea to start this forum El Grizzle.
Today I had,
quinoa
chicken w/onions garlic
pea shoots
tomatoes
radish
orange
water
numerous times, all spread out throughout the day.
Very simple nothing else added. Thickness of PND has gone down throughout the day, but has come back, now that I am hungry.
I am about to make so more chicken, with quinoa, lol. also I will have a bunch of pea shoots with avocado and radish.
I am thinking of taking out all meat as an experiment.

I've been of sugar for almost 2 weeks and am feeling a lot 'cleaner. I have also cut 80% of wheat products, 100% dairy, and 80% processed foods. Taking some probiotic digestive enzymes, multivtamins, acidophilus, caprylic acid. No alcohol. Lots of lemon water. Tofu products seem to be ok. I eat raw leafty greens and brown rice every meal which is good if you appreciate the flavor.
Stomach feels emptier, less thick mucous buildup, less bad taste. think it's a start. I think my stomach is operating 5-10% more efficiently.
This is the 2nd time I've tried to be 'very' clean, but this time I'm being more diligent and persistent.
With the progress, I'm not ready to try fruit, whole meats, acidic or sulphurous vegatables. I tried fresh whole turkey one day, and noticed some symptoms creep back.
I have been snacking on organic popcorn and organic no additive corn chips to keep the temptation of junk food down, and it hasn't bothered me.
I suggest anyone who doesn't believe their problem is oral to slowly start introducing and cutting certain things out and stick with it. Exercise is also a good idea.

Good going Elliot, welcome to the dieters club! It's really hard at 1st but after a while, dieting is very easy. I used to binge on ice cream, cookies and chips for 20 years... and i haven't had those in nearly a year now. Like i said, the 1st few weeks are by far the hardest. I have no desire or cravings for sweets anymore.
By the way, this forum reallyyy needs a section entirely devoted to food or good threads such as this one get burried quickly or people go off-topic and important info is somewhat lost. When it comes to food, i sometimes use emails or private messages to discuss it with other 'dieters' cause the General forum is too chaotic.

Here was a nice dish that I made today -
wild ground salmon
chopped onion
chopped garlic
zucchini
tomato
basil
Himalayan crystal salt
pepper
all cooked in the pan over top some quinoa. It was delicious! I also had a side salad of spinach, pea sprouts, and a whole avocado with apple cider vinegar over top.
If you can get your hands on cheap avocados, eat them all the time! They are awesome!
BTW, I have been eating oranges, and bananas with no effect on my mouth breath. I have no morning breath, and my mouth tastes great. I will continue to stick to this diet so that my body is in a better state to heal my sinus, as that is where I have sourced the problem for me.
It might be Candida in sinus, mold, anything, who knows!

A sticky thread would be nice. Share healthy recipes and such.
Yeah... I can do without sugar. Fatty salty junk food, is the hard one. After 5 days, sugar isn't hardly a temptation, but a TV commercial of a burger or fries or potato chips, and I start salivating! I hope popcorn is ok, it has good fiber, and is just corn and salt, maybe some palm oil.
Can't do onions, garlic, tomato. Not missing them too much.

I,ve been trying to go on this diet for months now but i keep failing
This just really sucks.
I know now for sure that it gotto be candida.
I got itch in private area and my feets are itching too.
When i eat lots of sugar my bladder starts to hurt all day and i have bloated stomach.
If i go on the diet for 2 days my mouth doesn't feel dirty and my stomach isn't bloated at al.
I have hairy tongue for years. That was the first thing i noticed years ago when i realisted i had bad breath. My tongue is hairy and white at the moment.
I did notice that when i eat avocado that i have lots of saliva so i got 2 avocados right now and i'm gonna start the diet tomorrow again. This is probably the 7th time i'm trying to do this diet.
I ate chocolate today and kebab yesterday
.
I started smoking again so now my gums are hurting again and my allergies are back.
It´s easy for me to eat in the morning because i just wake up early and make my candida breakfast but when i'm working i don't know what to eat.
I´m always hungry at work so most of the time i go and get a snack. This is why i keep failing.
Can someone tell me what to eat at work please !!!.
I'm gonna get some sour dough bread tomorrow. I have no problem eating this when i put in in the oven, but without putting it in the oven first it's just not eatable. That's why i need something else to bring to work.
Christmas is almost there and i'm not planning to stink!
ELGrizzle thank you for this topic, because i think i'm gonna stick with the diet now.
It's so much easier if we're doing this together so everbody lets keep posting what we eat and and keep putting up delicious recipes!!

tomato products tend to bring up acid, and yeah garlic and onions give anyone bb, but I imagine it lingers and mixes for me. Anything that stinks, I just stay away from. I had a bean and rice burrito about a week back, and the next day I couldn't tell what set me back... then I realized there were a trace of onion in that burrito.ElGrizzle wrote:elltiott, do onions, garlic, and tomatoe give you bad breath?
I made some red quinoa with olive oil and salt, with some lima beans. Hearty and quite nice. I can't eat brown rice everyday, so I'm trying to mix it up. Fennel is a great digestive and good fiber. Has a nice licorice taste when eaten raw. Celery, also fibrous (regularity) is also good for digestion. I'm also drinking a lot of lemon water.
I'd love some ice cream or a cheeseburger. Nah, steak and frites...

Candida diet
I didn't do to well the past few days, but I'm trying. I've eliminated sweets from my diet and instead have substituted my cravings with sugar free cookies and candy. Now keep in mind, I don't eat the whole package, but one per day does the job. I ordered pizza Saturday night and had diet soda, but I'm trying to eliminate cheeses and breads, but it is hard. I eat avocados, hummus, flat bread crackers, organic corn chips. These products have no sugars or white flour.
Billie, try ezekeal bread. I don't know what your geo location is, but I found some pasta made of rice flour containing no wheat/white flour, gluten and sugar free. Didn't looke at the carb content since this is what turns into sugar unless you frequently exercise (which I've been lacking). I bought some Luizianne green tea and have been drinking this instead of coffee and soda. You will need to do more than diet if you do have Candida. Have you tried the home saliva test for Candida? It takes a long time to get rid of it and I don't know if going back to bad eating habits is something you will be able to do
, but I would think once you get the yeast infection under control and out of your systems, every once in a while wouldn't hurt. I do miss my breads, beer/wine/alcohol, real sweets and especially cheeses. I am also taking Acidolphus along with the Candida cleanse. I've ordered a one month supply of yeastrol which is suppose to be one of the best prodcuts on the market beside threelac. I have rec'd it yet, but I'm skeptical about it because they charge so much, plus they added an extra cc charge from another advertised vendor and I told them I wasn't interested. I hate ordering from sites like this and it makes me skeptical of what I've purchased. There is a 90-day moneyback guarantee, so I ordered it. Keep up with the diet. There are tons of sites with Candida information, symtoms and products. If you have some time, please read and familiarize yourself with cause and effects. I have a dr.'s appt. this Friday and I'm going to speak w/ my physician about it and see what knowledge he has about it. I've been reading up on this for a while, so I will know if he (the dr.) is familiar with this condition.

There is still something causing me to revert back about every 3 days, can't tell what it is. Guess I will have to eliminate 100% meat and stop eating those damn organic corn chips, even tho they are baked and don't have any sugar, gluten or seasoning. Geez. I have an important interview tomorrow, and hope BB doesn't prevent me from achieving what I need.
