Hey Sad,
You don't sound pathetic, so don't worry. You just sound like a bad breath sufferer who is fed up with suffering from bad breath, and you have every right to be fed up with it.
You will find your cure, you just have to take the steps to get there. It might not happen overnight, but if you have patience, and take a proactive stance towards curing bad breath, you will find your cause, i'm sure of it.
About the Halitosis Specialist who is going to charge you $150, it's hard to say whether it's worth seeing him or not. Maybe what he offers you will be beneficial, and maybe it won't. Maybe he really knows what he's talking about and maybe he doesn't. Do your research before you make the commitment to see him. But I disagree with what he says about there not being a cure for bad breath. Obviously there is a cure for it, it's just sometimes it's not easy to find. All in all though, I don't think $150 is incredibly bad for having a consultation, having a Halimeter test done, and having a custom made toothpaste made for you based on your results. But I would ask him what oils he was using in the toothpaste he would make for you. If he is making you some toothpaste that you could just go out and buy for like $10 at a health food shop then yeah, I'd say he might be pulling one over on you.
About your question as to what you should do, again you should just try to make a list of all possible causes of bad breath, and start checking things off that list that don't apply to you until you find the one that does apply to you. It's all a trial and error process really.
Good luck in your search!

I dont know where I've heard this from but apparently if a person has gum problems and you eat something tough (which chewing gum can be) it squeezes out the "shite" from inside any gum pockets that exist. In my case this wasnt noticable (as far as I know) because it involved my wisdom tooth which is at the back, but I can imagine if its nearer the front and more of a true diseased gum situation (whereas mine was just a structural pocket) then this might be a clue if your breath gets much worse when u chew.
Chewing gum definetly makes me feel as though my breath is worse although how it could get worse than what it is is beyond me..
I spent $350 on halimeter test and consultation over a year ago and all it proved is that I had BB. The toothpaste the guy will give you is very unlikely to be of any help.

Hi KeepTryiing, my name is Corrin. I sent you a private message in the Bad Breath Halitosis forum and an email, but i don't know if you read them. I was wondering if you would be willing to send me the antifungal you used that helped get rid of your bad breath. Also, how much would you want me to send you in return for doing so if you did?? And, how long would it take for it to get to the US you think? I currently live in New Jersey, and I would want it to be sent to my college campus PO box.
-Thank You!!

Thanks for the message. I e-mailed you already.
To answer your questions though so everyone else can see, *(editied by author)*
Cheers!
Two questions
hello kt very good post. thank you.
I have two question.
1. Do you ever recall having a sticky, or gluey saliva?
I have been getting this after I eat anything. Especially when I have soda, bread and other Candida friendly foods. However, when I have anti-fungal foods my saliva feels normal and soft and easy to swallow.
2. Do you recall, when you got bb symptom or reactions from people - was it winter time or summer? I feel like my bb is worse during winter which makes me think that's when Candida is more aggressive. I have similar stories and when I look back I feel like 90% were during winter when it was cold.
Also, I took a picture of my tongue recently. Does this resemble anything to what you have seen before.

I told my doctor about Candida - but he is 100% sure I have no Candida. He did only blood and urine test.

Re: Two questions
Yeah, I still get sticky/gluey saliva if I eat certain foods (mainly dairy). The only exception is when I eat plain natural yogurt, but I am only eating 6 ounces per day (3 ounces in the morning and 3 ounces in the evening) so I'm not really eating too much of it. I have noticed if I eat a whole lot of yogurt (like a whole cup or more) then I will get the sticky/gluey saliva as well.bb28 wrote:hello kt very good post. thank you.

To be honest, I don't think there was much difference between summer and winter. My breath was bad pretty much 365 days a year. But there might be a reason why Candida is worse for some people in the winter time. Generally during the winter people's immune system is weaker than it is during the summer time. Since a strong immune system is necessary in order to keep Candida under control, then it's makes sense that Candida might be worse during the winter time.bb28 wrote:2. Heck yeah! It looks almost identical to what my tongue looks like after I eat certain foods! I think NOTANYMORE is on the right track, it looks to me like it is a build up of bacteria, or a build up of Candida, or maybe it's a mixture of both. Back before I was treated for Candida my tongue used to look like that 24/7 no matter how hard I cleaned it. After I was treated, after cleaning my tongue in the morning the white coating will come off and generally will stay gone unless I eat certain foods.bb28 wrote:Also, I took a picture of my tongue recently. If you could, what does your diet consist mostly off? Are you eating a lot of meats, or dairy, or grains???
Re: My bad breath was from my esophagus (throat), not my mou
Thanks for sharing your experience. I really do not know, why I have bad breath. I have tried like most people almost everything.KeepTrying09 wrote:Hey Everyone,
any questions feel free to message me or reply to this post. I would love to help out anyone who is suffering with bad breath. Like I said there is SOOO much more information I could share, but I don't want to write so much in this one post.
Prior to you asking, I wanted to say, I have the same experience, my breath is worse after chewing sugarless gumssadhalitosis wrote:Thanx for your answers.....
Is it weird that when I chew gum ( even sugar free gum) my bb is worse than without it? or does this happen to everyone that suffers from this?..I never had a problem with chewing gum before, it would actually be of help in the past, now it makes my breath worse.

Hey br,br wrote:I presume one can have candida in the mouth. Is this true? Please confirm. May I ask what is pnd?
Thanks
To answer your question, yes one can have a Candida infection in the mouth, however if they do they will usually be able to tell immediately because there will be raised white patches in the mouth. Just do a google search on "oral thrush" and you will see what I mean. With that being said however, I also believe that there can be a Candida overgrowth in the mouth that is not as evident. This would most likely be in the form of a white tongue which many people here complain about. However, a white tongue can also be caused by an overgrowth of bacteria as well. It's kinda difficult to say what exactly causes a white tongue without having samples taken and cultured in a lab, but the two most likely candidates are an overgrowth of bacteria or an overgrowth of yeast (Candida).
And to answer your second question, PND stands for Post Nasal Drip, which is also something that a lot of bad breath sufferers find they have in common.
